anyone ever get a bad abcess?

my whole ass cheek is so fuckin swollen...i guess ive just been shooting in the same place to long....long story short ive been getting fevers outta no where that go up to 103 for the last 3 days or so.....ill pop a few tylenols and it goes down....my ass started getting more and more sore....well today i stuck a needle right in the abscess and actually drained 3 ccs of straight puss in the syringe....i went to the hospital tonight they gave me a real strong antiobiotic and the doctors face like dropped when i told him i drained some of it myself....i came up with the roger clemens excuse and told him i do vitamin b12 injections and the indian is starin at me smilin for like 2 minutes straight....finally i was like alrite look at the damn size of me you know what i do....my cheek is still sore it feels like the soreness is moving over towards my crack...hopefully this antibiotic will kill this infection cause i cant take these damn fevers anymore...by the way its just a fever i can still eat theres no nausea no diarhea etc....anyone ever get an abcess before? share your experiences if you have thanks....does it necessarily mean the gear is dirty? i wont lie i havent been using rubbing alcholol on my skin before every shot, lately ive just been jabbin the needle in and shootin so hopefully thats the reason

Well, here's the deal: if your body can't absorb the puss, they're going to slice you open to drain it. After they slice it open, they will leave it open...no stitches...because they'll want it to heal from the inside out. That means they'll pack several feet of a ribbon-like bandage into the wound, which will have to be pulled out and then re-packed every day or two for a couple of weeks (each time a little bit less packing as it heals). It's gonna suck...big-time.

Bet you wish you'd taken the five seconds and spent the five cents it takes to use an alcohol swab now, huh?

I hope every noob who clicks on this thread pays attention to what happpens when you don't follow sterile injection procedures (that means using a new needle, making sure the needle doesn't brush against anything accidentally, swabbing the stopper, and swabbing the skin each and every time).

i got a little lazy over the last few months....i would take a shower then just pin it real quick never had a problem for months until now...yeah i had staph infection a few yrs ago from a fuckin tattoo and they did that packing shit but i never got that high of a fever from the staph infection.....i dont think its gonna be "weeks" because my ass cheek isnt that swollen up....prolly in a week or 2 ill be fine

agree with that cause im far from a newbie ive been in the game for 6 yrs now and honestly just got fuckin lazy but learnin my fuckin lesson now!! im sure theres alotta guys on here that have been doin the same thing i did....none of friends even use rubbing alcholol....i guess im going to be the new preacher for it to all of my buddies lol

I've used alchhol ,but! sometimes shit happens, i have done over 100 inj's into my forearm and right outta the blue i got one,well i waited a week about the time i saw the Dr i found out i could have done it myself!

It's not the alcohol, that really does not do shit, Stop Injecting the same Place! And don't put soo mutch in! Damm! Please my good brother! Use some common Sense. Why not use shoulders, legs, Hell left or right cheek, upper and lower? Honestly Don't you want results that look good?

What make you think i'm injecting in the same place?
I have been doing this since i was thirty, i am now 58, so i know what i'm doing.
Besides Too much i only use 1 cc in forearms,My account is screwed right now but I used to be an Elite Mod, now i'm an Elite Mentor.

And to answer the other question .no i did not run a fever, it started as a lump as some do, but massaging with a warm washcloth usually helps dissolve it, this one didn't but i was in atlanta for 4 days as i saw it was warm and getting a head like a zit but it hurt to touch, by the time i got home and made the Dr appointment ,he popped it like a zit, i was full of goo. Some abcesses are not so lucky esp the Deep ones in the glutes.

So to sum it up-1 abcess in 28 yrs? yes Shit happens sometimes!!!!

Rules for injecting:

1) wash hands
2) swab the top of the vial with an alcohol pad
3) swab the injection site with an alcohol pad (a new one)
4) remove the gear from the vial and make sure the tip of the needs doesn't touch anything
5) inject needle in area
6) aspirate and look for blood
7) if no blood enters the syringe inject into body
8) wipe inject area again with alcohol swab and cover with band aid or other sterile bandage

Injecting the area without swiping the area with an alcohol pad is insanity.
