WS Noob - Drop in squat weight

Hi all.... WSB noob here.

Just started about 3 weeks ago. I think i've read EVERYTHING that exists on the internet to do with WSB (including the last 6 hours reading every page in this forum. Loved every minute btw)

One thing i would like to ask though.

In starting WS training, i have rather dramatically changed my squat technique. My stance is a good 12+inches wider now and i am feeling it all down the back of my legs. (like i've never felt it before)

I'll admit that apart from deads, i've bee neglecting my hams over the years.

Only worry is my squat has gone from 400 to just over 340. I'm sure this is normal to drop a bit cos i'm switching the muscles used but is it normal to drop this much??

Ta for any replies

It's very normal to be much weaker for awhile, your using new muscle in new ways. I've been stapled to the box with warm up way in the start, it'll take time but will be better for your max and your knees.

dont worry about it, comepletely normal, and dont get frustrated with it. keep it up and in time youll be much stronger than before
