Woman Who Fell Into Fountain While Texting Hires Lawyer & Plans to Sue

I'm not saying I'm agree w/ it. I'm just not surprised. People don't expect mall security camera footage to end up on every evening news in the country unless they've broken a law.

I'm suing you for the emotional distress brought-on by your threat of legal action.
My demands are:
- Compensation for lost wages
- Medical expenses including psychiatric care
- Punitive damages for your willful intrusion upon my well-being
We believe adequate compensation can be estimated in the $38-$45M dollar range. This remuneration is subject to negotiation assuming a settlement is achieved in a timely manner.

lol I guess I'm the only one who could see that happening to them. I trip over stuff all the time. I fell down the stairs a couple weeks ago holding my daughter and had to get my knee xrayed...then fell UP the stairs two weeks later on the other knee. I tripped last night. I wouldn't sue but those security guards would have some bad k coming their way... just sayin'.

so she's suing them because the security guards didn't help her?
She needs to sue the cell phone service provider, the dealer/vendor who sold it to her and the cell phone manufacturer. The mfg for making a phone capable of texting, the vendor for selling her the phone, and the service provider for providing her the capability of texting.
This is what anyone who gets into an accident while texting needs to do. Pretty soon texting will disappear. This shit didn't happen 15 years ago when texting didn't exist!!!
