For me, it is Orchestral Soundtracks. I am a movie buff and I collect soundtracks. Some of the ones that get me going in the gym are:

The Bourne Identity and Supremacy: John Powell
Pirates of the Caribbean: Klaus Badelt
Total Recall: Jerry Goldsmith
Raiders of the Lost Ark: John Williams

Oh well, to each his own I guess.

Steve.

I have a mix like that, works well for me.
Also,
Hatebreed

Maelovelent Creation
Morbid Angel
3 Inches of Blood
Unearth

But the Slayer mix gets the most play.

yes! where's the house/trance/techno electronica genre? it seems like america is the only place that isn't aware of it yet

You just dont know where to look =D
When lifting and driving (goin out on track) I listen to Drum & Base, or Jungle. I like trance, but not to get pumped up to, esp since I listen to more melodic trance. Theres nothing like a good dieselboy/dara/hive dnb set to get me going though. Theres no rush like the beat of drum and bass.

I love different types of music. But my favorite 2 genres are Classic Rock and Rap.

Rap = 50 cent, obie trice, 2pac, BIG, busta rhymes, eminem, too short, OUTKAST (best rap group ever)

Classic Rock = Hendrix (favorite artist), Beatles, Zeppelin, Queen (best band ever)
