Quick question. If i am trying to get cut up (operating at a caloric deficit) what is the point of doing a hypertrophy routine vs a 5x5. Dont you need excess calories for hypertrophy? Also i am an endomorph (tend to be fat) hope i got that right i always get ecto/endo screwed up.
 
Good point man! My workouts are long because it takes a while to work up to my wieght. Im in my forties and not big on jumping right into my heavy stuff (i like my joints!)

Shit when i did my 525lb bench with no shirt it took me an hour alone just to warm up to it. And I still have inclines and flys left and dips, so Im looking at 2hrs easy.
 
Thankyou!! I cant bench 525 but it still take a half hour just to get through my bench 3 warmups plus 4 working sets and a couple of 8+rep sets to finish.
 
If lifting heavy I dont see how one can workout in less than an hour but I guess thats just me. :(

I lift very heavy bro. I believe a workout should be anywhere between 45 mins and and hour and 15 minutes tops. If you keep it within the hour, it's even better. I rest 30 secs between sets only.
