Little boy badly beaten by his father while fathers girlfriend and neighbors ignore it. Lady across street seen father grab child previously by the throat and drag him inside because he was not allowed to play outside. Ladies child played with little boy and would tell mother how little boy was beaten and bruised. Still lady did fucking nothing.

This asshole fights for custody of child..Get granted summer visitations.

i don't think it's at all in good taste to make light of it, but it's in their right to do so. I probably make light of things (like religion) that others are offended by, but i'm still within my rights.

if someone came here and was proud of their own abusive actions, i'd most likely ban them- for a few reasons, but one of which is that it's illegal.

I just found it to be hypocritical is all, not naming any names. They know who they are.

I guess that is what one could call this "selective" outrage. Perhaps if more people paid attention to helping the people trapped in these situations out, gaining insight into how these situations occur in the first place, and less attention to belittling and laughing at them, less children would end up like this poor kid.

Goodness no! I am THRILLED that she posted this to remind some of the more callous board-morons that violence against women and children is NOT funny.

I get VERY upset when I see board-morons posting cartoons or images of women being beaten and abused. Even more upset when they are a chairman of the board or moderators. That to me = endorsement of such violence.

I was confused about elite's policy about the proliferation of violence against woman and children but you clarified it for me.

Where there is a clear understanding there can be no misunderstanding.

well i haven't seen one person belittle the child named in this article.
and if this was a forum dedicated to abuse, then i would think that any form of humor or making light of the situation should not be tolerated. that's not the case here, so it remains in very poor taste, but not a bannable offense.

bmom, if you remember, there have been at least one poster who was VERY into animal right. She was very offended by yours and your husband making light of THAT, but you were within your right to do so, correct?

i was not at all amused by images of the grilled food your husband posted and claimed it was cat, but this is not an animal rights board- it's a chat forum and lots of things are discussed and lots of offensive jokes are made. what is one person's crusade in another person's fodder.

Yes, I understand about the cat-eating jokes. They are cats - NOT HUMANS. Anyone who puts the life of an animal before the life of a human is well a bit "off". That is not to say that torturing animals is acceptable. But if I am hungry and all there is to eat is my pet cat, the cat will end up on my plate. I wear leather shoes as well. I have NEVER harmed an animal "for the sheer pleasure of it". Any one who does engage in such behaviors IMHO is a danger to the human race and is also best avoided.

But I do see your point.

When anyone puts the life of a human on the same plane as that of an animal, then IMHO that person is a bit off.

I've NEVER harmed an animal for the sheer pleasure of it. But if there was nothing left to eat, I would eat my cat without a second thought.

I understand.

Where there is a clear understanding there can be no misunderstanding.

Some people TRY to stand up and fight for what is right while others stand along the sidelines and laugh.

It's saddest still that no one gets angry enough to do something BEFORE a child dies.

For everyone who says the want 10 minutes alone in a room with the abuser. I understand your feelings. But that 10 minutes would be better spent in educating yourselves as to the signs that there is abusive situation going on in someone's life and trying to furnish that person with the information they need to get out and then to STAY OUT.

This is an organization in Texas. There are organizations like this one all over the US. Find a way to get that victim the help they need.

If you spent the same time reading some of the links to the organizations that I have posted rather than searching the internet for pictures of children's mother's being brutalized so that you and your homeys can laugh then you MIGHT see that you are ADDING TO THE PROBLEM.

In this case ignorance is NOT BLISS... it often leads to death.

It is A FACT that MOST victims of domestic violence are women. Rarely is it the man in a hetero relationship but yes, it does exist. I knew one personally matter of fact. And have posted up about it often. So I don't understand your post.

In gay relationships the men are also victimized by their abusers, obviously as there are only men involved in the relationship.

The organizations that me and the Old Grump support help out ANY victim of a violent partnership regardless of gender or even if they have substance abuse problems. Did you know that most other organizations will turn these people away?

How does that negate the validity of my previous posts?

So could we please give the INCORRECT "Bikinimom is a sexist so therefor all of her posts are nuts" arguement a rest?

If Miplank had literred the boards with images of women beating the shit out of their husbands, or cartoons of a man beating the piss out of his male partner I would be equally horrified. i honestly doubt, in my heart of hearts, that you give a fuck about men who are abused in relationships.

also, the definition of abuse is very fluid, as are social norms and cultural practices.

when it comes to interactions between adults, for the most part, you reap what you sew.

As you said in your PM to me. This is for sure a bad world where bad things happen.

I called a friend in CO, my daughter lives in Commerce. They are also against violence.

You have the right to post anything you like on any open forum.

The facts are simple, people like you and your homies think this is funny because BM is so adamant about a cause. She has the right as well to be vocal. And you kids have the right to continue to post in response to whatever she says. I have noticed if she said the sky is blue you would rally the troops and post the sky is orange. No matter how nutty that is.

Since I have been involved with shelters and helping children for more than 2 decades I believe there are a couple issues with your thought process. One, you spend more time looking for pictures to show someone posted others images than you do reading facts about real problems.
Two, I don't have time I need to make a living. As far as addressing the statements about me not having anything in common with you guys and being old. Well gosh. Correct on both.

Have a great day. I hope you never have to hear about this subject from someone close to you.

I guess I'm a little "off" then. I'm definitely one of those that sympathizes more with animals than humans. I think a majority of adults are responsible for their own suffering through poor decision making. Whereas animals, we people pretty much impose our will onto them.

he had to go home to keep custody, but most women ( i understand you are the exception and got fucked over), abused or not, will never have to worry about that...

That is where you are incorrect about how I am the exception. It happens OFTEN. It is COMMON for abusers to get custody of their children. It is just that nearly EVERYONE blames the woman when she loses custody because "everybody knows that not even crackwhores lose custody." Whereas if a man loses custody (whether warranted or not) everyone rallies around him, "That evil bitch."

Surely you all remember the story about the man that set his son's bed afire while he was sleeping during a visitation (he lost the custody battle). The child lived, though severely burned. When asked why he did it. His answer was, "If he couldn't have his son than neither should his ex-wife." Yea, my ex has told all four of my children plenty of times, "I will kill you before I give you back to your crazy whore of a mother."

I am sick and tired of some of the limited baboons on elite making fun of ANYONE that is being victimized and abused. And please spare me the rhetoric about animals. You all eat meat? Do you wear leather shoes? Puh-lease... Get over it already. Brutalizing any living thing "for pleasure" is offensive. Are you saying that YOU *want* to beat me? Or that perhaps Puddles should *beat me* so that he can get his point across? I'm confused. Help me out.

Nope... even though Smurfy pointed out to others long ago that this thread is not about me, it seems that at least three posters seem to make it about ME saying that I am *a sexist*. :rolleyes:

I dunno, I thought it was because some board members were outraged and disgusted that a child was brutally beaten to death by his father after the man was granted summertime custody. But WTF do I know, crazy sexist that I am.

My vocabulary is quite expansive in TWO languages, I am not English mother tongue. I forgot to type one letter....and this didn't change THE FACT that 3 children will see their death because of domestic violence today.

Why are you openly discussing what is posted on the mod board?

Fact is I specifically sent a PM to many mods and admin specifically asking it be posted on the forum so that an intelligent dialogue may begin. I have no access to that forum and I thought it the best way for everyone who is running the show to discuss the issue. I have no way of knowing it was ever posted there or not.

There are very strict rules about what goes on on the mod board stays on the mod board.

More facts that I did NOT invent.
