Stir Fry Questions

I seen some Stir Fry sauces in the supermarket are this okay when stir frying and also they had this frozen veggie stuff called stir fry is that okay ,has mushrooms, carrots, broccoli and someother crap...isn't carrots bad when leaning but it said per 1cup veggies or something not really allot of carbs:/

I think the carrot thing is grossly overrated. The glycemic index is based on 300 calories of a given food. 300 calories of carrots is like eating an entire bag of just carrots. And since your veggie mix has only part carrots, you're fine. I think you really can't go wrong with veggies, except for maybe the really starchy ones, like potatoes. So enjoy.

I mean, seriously, look around at the overweight people around. I'll bet they're not walking around with a carrot in their hand--more like a doughnut. Vegetables should be the least of your concerns.

I agree here... I personally don't eat carrots... but there clearly isn't
nearly that much in the stir fry mixtures... In the veggie section of my
market they have fresh veggies packed for a stirfry... some have
carrots and some don't. I just get the ones that don't but I wouldn't
worry about it if you do.

As for the sauce... just pick the one that fits your diet best... watch
out for the sugar and sodium content, thats all

or if you want... you can stir fry with just a tablespoon of veggie oil and throw in a tablespoon or two of soy sauce....
