problem : protein shakes/bar and gas

having lots with gas and lots of trips to the restroom. is this a common problem? are there any ways to remedy this? by diet? supplements?

i've been using prolab straw and mixing it w/ water and fruit punch (the only way i'm able to drink these things)

years ago i tried mixing it with milk but, had tremendous gas

I have found that time seems to help the problem. If my body is not used to a particular type of protein, I tend to have a major gas problem for a week or two. It never seems to go away, it just gets better.
Egg protein gives me some wicked gas. It's fucking crazy.
 
This is a problem for most people with high protein intake- try some ginger root before you shakes- that may help you.
