1) Considering my Bindging history and love for crabs (chocolate's my favorite
Will I be able to stand the CKD ? I REALLY want to loose those last 4 pounds of fat.
Once you get into it, it gets easier. Plus you always know that within a few days you will be able to carb up again, so that makes it easier.
2) During my cutting cycle I've already used high amounts of ECA and Clen so they are off limits for me now (i'm immuned). Can I use Meridia instead along with a CKD to fight cravings and improve mood a bit ?
dunno
3) How long will it take me to get into Ketosis ? (I just had a huge carb bindge right now
(Which BTW made me login to Elite from work). My current balanced diet no longer work
If I am starting from today (From this minute on I'm NOT touching carbs). How much time will it take me to enter Ketosis ?
Well, that depends.
If you have never gone into ketosis before it may take from 2-8 days.
Getting INTO ketosis is harder than being/staying there. So you MUST go very very low carbs to get there for most people, like <20g/days.
Once you have gone into ketosis a few times, it gets easier. You will probably get to the point of end-of-carb-up to ketosis in maybe 36 hours.
It gets easier.
4) How do I know I'm in Ketosis ? We don't have those self-test urine tests in my country ?
The strips help but they are not perfect. You can be in ketosis and the strips do not “turn” (false negative).
You will know, once you do it several times.
I used to carb up over the weekend and stop carbs Sunday night. Tuesday mornings sucked. My body screamed for carbs. Then by about 3pm Tuesday I was like "ahhh.........", very relaxed, my body had switched over into ketosis.
5) How can you eat 6 Meals a day on a CKD? I mean because of the high fats, just a little portion of something gives huge amounts of calories. And since my body weight is fairly low, a high-fat/protein meal migh mean to me eating something rediciously small ?
Well, its seem small, but high fat meals seem more filling also.
Being in ketosis will blunt your appetite.
You need to realize something though, you still need to be in a caloric deficit for a CKD to work. The old belief that you can eat a ton of cals as long as it was fat/protein and you were in ketosis is WRONG.
Also, do NOT think that you can do more protein and less fat and helpo yourself. That will NOT work. Your body can actually convert protein into glucose so if you try to upset the fat/protein balance in favor of too little fat and too much protein, the protein will convert into glucose, and you drop out of ketosis.
6) How much time will it take me to LOOSE 4-5 pounds of FAT from the minute I start to follow the CKD regimen ?
well, there is no exact answer. If you are strict you should be able to shave a pound a week at least.
7) I've heard ALA can make you enter into CKD faster. How can I incorporate it efficiently.
It can make you get into ketosis faster by allowing your body to more efficiently absorb the glucose in your blood (I may have a term wrong here but the idea holds).
Its best to use ALA during the carb up, and after the carb up to get into ketosis. Once near ketosis and while IN it, you don’t need ALA.
8) Since almost EVERYTHING have hidden carbs, can't it just prevent from going into Ketosis ? I mean even natural Peanut Butter have some carbs and all the carbs during the day can add to 30-40 grams quite fast.
Yes, hidden carbs will kill the whole idea.
I am convinced that most guys that "try" a CKD and say it sucks were never really in ketosis anyway. You MUST go VERY VERY LOW on carbs to get in! Once you are there, its not that bad at all.
Coffee has a 1 gm carbs, diet soda 1 gm, a packet of artificial sweetener, 0.9 g, an egg 1g, it adds up very fast. Guy’s don’t think of coffee and diet soda and eggs as having carbs. They do.
Peanut Butter is out probably.
9) What about those Met-RX 31g. Peanut Butter bars that claim 9 grams of FAT, 31 grams of Protein and 4 grams of NET Carbs (while total amount of carbs are 30) ? Should I avoid all Protein Bars ? Remember my goal is to enter KETOSIS ASAP.
yes.
avoid all of that crap.
even the 4 grams will be a problem.
Look, there is NO way around this so listen up (to be frank)
No BS, meat, cream, eggs, fatty stuff. Period.
Even where people say you can have a small salad – look that will not work if you are not familiar with ketosis and are getting started. Eat only meat and fat. Guys who try to make getting into ketosis “easier” end up taking longer, and stretch out the agony of going into ketosis.
10) Since I want to just loose 4-5 pounds of FAT. Can I just run into KETOSIS and stay for 2 whole weeks and skip the FRI-SAT carb up?
You can and will lose more fat more quickly but you will also lose more lean mass. The point of the carbs up is to replenish glycogen and allow you to have some strength to workout, ands also to help prevent the loss of lean mass.
You can just go to a straight Ketogenic diet (no carb ups) and lose more fat more quickly, but you will lose more muscle.
11) Does working out 3 times a week, and doing cardio 40 minutes everyday considered excessive? I don't mind to loose some muscle as long as I know these 4 pounds will be gone to hell within 2 weeks.
well, you need to alter your workout plan. You cannot do a regular schedule on a CKD and have best results. You must time your workouts around the carb up. Best way is to workout 2 days in a row, the 2 days after the carb up ends. This will allow you to work out with full glycogen stores, and work out half the body on the first day, and half the second. Then you don’t lift for a few days. Then the best way is to do a full body, light weight workout the morning before the carb-up.
You can do cardio all week if you want.
If you reached done here. THANK YOU! [/QUOTE]
I am disturbed by the "2 week" thing. Please tell me you are not trying to crash diet for spring break. LOL
