First thing: I know there are quite a lot of questions in this post, but it would mean the world to me if you would help me down here. I'm pretty much frustrated trying to loose those last pounds, especially since I've ruined it in the last week due to excessive carb bindging. HELP IS GOLD here.

Ok, I'm off cycle for quite a long time (Going to start the bulking cycle in a 2-3 months time).

I've dieted and reached about 10% Bodyfat.

I want to reach 8%. For my size that's about only loosing like 4-5 pounds of fat, that's all.

My diet got stalled at 10%. I've started to loose my mind and bindge heavily every 2-3 days (I mean BINGE big time) probably due to depression from low serotonin and cortisol levels.

I'm frustrated as I do want to reach my goal of 8% BF (Loosing about 4 to 5 pounds of fat tissues).

I and I was just reading the GREAT post from Kaks regarding the CKD diet.

I have several relevant questions which I couldn't find answers using the 'search' button:

1) Considering my Bindging history and love for crabs (chocolate's my favorite ;) Will I be able to stand the CKD ? I REALLY want to loose those last 4 pounds of fat.

2) During my cutting cycle I've already used high amounts of ECA and Clen so they are off limits for me now (i'm immuned). Can I use Meridia instead along with a CKD to fight cravings and improve mood a bit ?

3) How long will it take me to get into Ketosis ? (I just had a huge carb bindge right now :( (Which BTW made me login to Elite from work). My current balanced diet no longer work :( If I am starting from today (From this minute on I'm NOT touching carbs). How much time will it take me to enter Ketosis ?

4) How do I know I'm in Ketosis ? We don't have those self-test urine tests in my country ?

5) How can you eat 6 Meals a day on a CKD? I mean because of the high fats, just a little portion of something gives huge amounts of calories. And since my body weight is fairly low, a high-fat/protein meal migh mean to me eating something rediciously small ?

6) How much time will it take me to LOOSE 4-5 pounds of FAT from the minute I start to follow the CKD regimen ?

7) I've heard ALA can make you enter into CKD faster. How can I incorporate it efficienctly.

8) Since almost EVERYTHING have hidden carbs, can't it just prevent from going into Ketosis ? I mean even natural Peanut Butter have some carbs and all the carbs during the day can add to 30-40 grams quite fast.

9) What about those Met-RX 31g. Peanut Butter bars that claim 9 grams of FAT, 31 grams of Protein and 4 grams of NET Carbs (while total amount of carbs are 30) ? Should I avoid all Protein Bars ? Remember my goal is to enter KETOSIS ASAP.

10) Since I want to just loose 4-5 pounds of FAT. Can I just run into KETOSIS and stay for 2 whole weeks and skip the FRI-SAT carb up?

11) Does working out 3 times a week, and doing cardio 40 minutes everyday considered excessive? I don't mind to loose some muscle as long as I know these 4 pounds will be gone to hell within 2 weeks.

bump, does anyone have any more info on this "net carbs" BS on protien bars? They have a little disclaimer or something that says it's glycerin or something like that and it doesn't effect you insulin levels. Is this BS or what?
 
rinsed tuna, a little bit of oatmeal, and anavar. even a low dose of anavar, like 10mg ed, will knock your appetite way down and prevent some muscle loss on a sub-caloric diet.

hope someone can give you good advice about CKD. bump for that.

I lost 4-5 lbs of fat usually by the end of week 3.

Cardio 40 minutes a day with weights 3 times a week will be ok.

I would use 500mg-1g ALA with every carb meal. I would ahve the carb ups it'll actually help you lose fat faster.
 
1) From my experience, being in ketosis prevent any carb cravings.

2) I dont know about meidia. Just go back to ECA after 4-5 weeks of being off.

3) It usually takes 4 days to get into ketosis.

4) Maybe you can get them on-line?

5) I had no problems with these and I was eating 2kcals a day. Just remember that you need more fat than protein.

6) Everyone is different.

7) Start using ALA 300-500g on each meal. ALA got me in ketosis even though i was eating 300g of carbs. Also, use ALA on your carb up days.

8) You can eat carbs just dont go over 20g a day.

9) No personal experience on this but I have heard that these bars can kick you out of ketosis.

10) I dont think you will lose 4-5lbs of fat in 2 weeks. I would add in the carb up days though to boost your metabolism.

11) Cut back the cardio to 4-5 days a week.

I heard that ALA is of no benefit with no carbs meals? Beginning tomorrow morning I'm going to Eliminate (as much as possible) carbs all-together, so I am wondering if I should take ALA even though all meals will be without carbs?

Also, what is the ratio of Carbs to FATs that I should eat? I seems that whatever calculations I am trying to make I am always ending with more Protein grams than Fat grams in the meal planning, because most fat containing products contain a lot of proteins themselves. What ratio do you use? 70% FAT, 25% PROTEIN and 5% CARBS ?
 
fitwizard wants to know how to get in ketosis ASAP so using ALA will help him get there. it shouldnt take more than a day. the only time you would need ALA during a keto diet is during the carb up days. go to the diet section and check out Mr X's CKD article. that will help you out tons. i didnt use any ratios for the macros. i just made sure that my carbs did not go over 20g. adding cheese and olive oil to meals will help you bump up the fat content without the protein going to high
 
Thanks DepressiveJuice I will give you karma as well :) Like 'junk' asked, just to clarify: You should take ALA during the days before you actually get into ketosis even though all meals will be without carbs right? Because I once read a post by Ulter that said NOT to take ALA with Fat loaded meals.. And the days before entering Ketosis will BE fat and protein meals only... So this is an exception?

If I weight 160 lb how many calories do I need to consume considering the fact that I'm weight training 3 times a week and cardio 7 times a week (30 minutes every day) ?

Using Mr X. Excel Sheet, it says I should consume about 1800 calories a day ONLY (!?!?!?!)

That sounds rediciously low? And tbe protein is very low as well.
Does that take into account the first day (Day1) as on Ketosis or BEFORE entering ketosis for the first time.

Sorry for the questions, just don't want to screw it up tomorrow :)
