Our forefathers engaged in political discourse in bars and taverns. The Internet is that new medium.

As far as free speech, we're using a privately-owned server so there is no such thing here, except at the pleasure of EF's ownership. But for me personally, I'd be far more inclined to believe product testimonials from site where speech is less controlled. If any site (not singling-out EF at all) is willing to take down a post like: "Redguru Sucks!", then I'd think they'd also take-down a post like: "Product XYZ sent me to the hospital emergency room!".

Flames are part of internet conversations and have been around since fidonet. The Newsgroups perfected the tactic. What occurs here is mild in comparison, due to the moderation that has been around. I, myself, don't enjoy the kaffeeklatsch, vanilla, moderated chat but have been living with it because I enjoy the people.

Cool, so you would support a new forum that is a little more lax on modding. If we had one you would eff be there?

I don't know. Ask the people who like to talk like that to others. Its there problem to get people to come talk with them.

These people seem to think its such a great thing and every one loves it. So lets see if they are right. Lets see just how many people will be lining up at the door to get into a forum like that.

I agree Needto, and I don't flame cause well it does nothing but spreads bad vibes, people don't realize that internet is almost as potent as IRL... its just a medium that we connect through thought patterns, whether it be a whisper in ear, through a megaphone, its all thought patterns with inent...
I'm curious how new format will work, cause I like posting pseudo spiritual/psychobabble, and technology stuff, as well as interpersonal shit but wanna make sure that I"m reaching the right audience to connect with... I don't wanna be in a shit talking forum where people just vent sadistic shit on each other cause IRL they are a mess... I have empathy for these peeps, but just like everyone here, its really a shallow empathy and not nearly what it should be...
Anyway, can I still post my ideas in Regular C&C.. very curious about new forum... and u are right we have lost some good peeps dude to self hate projection...

The question to ask is what type of people do you want to attract? I thought that the previous iteration of C/C were a like minded bunch who took barbs at each other. Sure, we said things that could be taken poorly (and maybe was), but the team kept intact over the years. If we theorize that the attrition was due to those barbs, then we should also consider the 'usual' attrition rates that have come years before. Only time will tell if it's better or worse.

Personally for me, C/C has changed through the years. This is just another change.

Does this mean that I can't call you dickwad on this forum anymore?

Just off the top but there is thousands more. People in the aas forum are always more then welcome to give any kind of feed back they like,share there thoughts and ideas on a product or anything.

They are just asked to be respectful when doing so, and for the most part every one in that forum dos. Go over and ask them if they feel they cant talk about a product and tell th truth about it. Not going to find many who agree with you bro.

I reall am not 100% sure on everything as of right now. In fact I myself have less to do with it then you would think.

Of course people (you) will be allowed to talk and have fun,shar thoughts and ideas on this forum. Thy do it in the aas forum all day long.

Yup! And those posts are why I generally trust EF sponsors.

When I do need a supplement or ancillary product, I always turn to EF first.
