damm - when you speak to mossberg, ask them if theres a problem with the safety on their 12ga pistol grip

Safety failure alone wouldn't cause the gun to fire.

The sear would have to fail to allow the gun to discharge, as well as the safety failing, if he in fact had it engaged.

It is a very serious failure either way.

Gun is definetely permanently fucked up after inspecting it. The bolt has trouble cycling and when you do, it wont dry fire at all. Guess the firing pin is stuck in the fired position and wont pull back.

Turns out the mechanism that holds the firing pin back gave out"

This is why I like revolvers, I've never trusted that locked and loaded with the firing pin ready to strike bullshit.

I bet your sear broke and the piece is jammed. I am no expert though. Can you remove the bolt?

Ok here a a couple pics, but suck because its my phone:

First pic: the thin piece on the right inserts into the middle of the bolt on the left, however the small black tip of the small silver piece is actually a threaded piece that looke like a screw of some sort that snapped. Also the dark part on the right of the handle of the bolt looks to be bent or damaged and I think thats what causes the bolt to have trouble cycling into place.
Second pic: is a close up of the tip of the smaller piece with the black threaded part that broke (shitty pic sorry).

This stuff is fucked up and Im going to need a whole new bolt I bet.
