well i guess today is the last day for me to eat whatever i want... i guess a superbowl party is a good way to go out...

to beat my last years transformation...

...and of course to increase my lifts; for those of you that dont know im more of a powerlifter than a bodybuilder... i would like to document AT LEAST:

squat 500
bench 275
deadlift 550 by the end of this...

diet:
as of right now i dont have any numbers set in stone... im not going to be counting calories, just eating clean and doing one cheat DAY a week at least for the first half... i can drop fat fast so i dont want to get ahead of myself...

the diet will mostly consist of tuna, chicken, beef, eggs, greens, brown rice, olives and almonds but may include some other...

supplementation:
currently im finishing off some nasty ass strawberry Muscle Milk and fuzzy navel Nectar protein

for pre workout ive been using Hemo Rage and am loving it!

i also have some TwinLabs Liquid Aminos that ive been adding to the preworkout

ya last year the same thing happened... i had just started a new years log in the weightlifting section and then the contest came...
i didnt really plan on doing it again this year but i just seem to like to eat too much junk over the hollidays ;) and i dont want to move up a weight class...
 
Subbed. Followed last year, looking forward to watching again this year

my plan is to make last year look like nothing... im soooo not looking forward to dieting tomorrow... i still have one more large pizza to get through tonight...

i have a lot of things im going to change from last year, first off, my diet will be much cleaner... no turkey bacon or turkey sausage... just too much saturated fats... also i will go easier on my cheat days, and try to get in more water...

i will be working out less, but keeping it heavier; though i will be trying much harder at sticking to my am fasted cardio... i slacked on that a lot last time... i know i can get leaner, and i know im holding more muscle than at the start of last year...

also i feel i failed on dialing in my final conditioning, so i will be making a much better attempt at that...
 
Hey moya what was your weight in your final pic last year?

probably about 142... i did a PL meet about a month out and made weight just under 148 without any trouble...
im NOT going to be using T3 or tren this round and i think i can maintain my current weight if i eat right and come in even leaner... i know thats asking for a lot...

believe it or not, i just did my best to get as bloated as possible... no water for two days and that was about an hour after eating chinese buffet loaded with MSG and then frozen yogurt with mixed in fruit for desert...

i will run a blast, im just waiting on my tax refund ;) so i can order it... i havent totally decided yet, but im leaning towards somthing like...

ive brought up my chest quite a bit over the year and plan on coming in without losing any weight, just fat, so i will gain some muscle... so i guess its more of a lean bulk... i would like to come in dryer as well...

yes, those were 3 months apart...

...the one regret i have from last year was not taking the trip to Miami... i was looking forward to taking another shot at that and was disappointed when i heard the originally planned contest was scrapped... i will always wonder how my life may have changed had i took that trip...

the plan is more effort this time though... i dont want to lose to myself ;)
 
overtraining issues... my lower back was overly fatigued a few months back and ive given it time to strengthen... still did rack pulls for the first couple months, but none recently... pulled 450 like it was 405... will need to work on my grip as well, but other than that im feeling like getting back into them for this...
i think my system was just overworked so hard from my deads that it made gains on my bench impossible... now ive broke some nasty bench plateaus and i will do the DL's more sporadically...

y the "low" dose of test tho? 350 is just kind of a weird number.

do you have 175mg/ml test or something?

what did you say your cruising on? like 200mg/wk? I guess bumping it up another 150/wk would make a noticable difference
 
350mg/wk is a very common number for prop bro... its 100mg eod
basically i just want the test to keep sexual function, so it should be equal to or greater than nandrolones... however im coming up with another possible cycle, so this is not final yet... i will make a descision in the next couple days, when my tax return is in my account... then i will order supplies...

It's amazing what a break can do! I've just started doing dl's, before just sldl's.. I weigh just under you and to lift 450 shooting for 550..wheeew!! Very impressive, Moya!!

oh, im well over 450... just taking it easy getting back into it... that and im working out at home now and i only have 470lbs in olympic plates... id say pending on my grip im good for 500ish right now; this is where i left off after last years transformation...

Damn! Nice lift. Hopefully I'll be there one day. So does the sumo stance help? Also in your squat video I saw you were wearing weight lifting shoes. Do they help alot? I just use my chucks for now but was thinking about getting some.

What do you do to improve grip?

i actually have a relatively weak double overhand and hook grip... so i dont ever bother with those grips on any heavy work...
when im trying to get it up, which i will be soon, i do lots of static holds at the end of my deadlift sets... just try and hang on to that last rep as long as possible...
power shrugs also help, i was up to 5x405 on those with no straps, using a mixed grip... its probably not the best for my arms' aesthetics though...
also i will do some high rep wrist curls and i also feel that reverse grip barbell curls help to some extent...

i like sumo, it shortens the range of motion a bit and incorporates the hips more... my best conventional pull was 2x500 so it does not add a ton, i just like the feel better... its easier on my back...

i love my olympic shoes and would never go back to squatting in chucks... and i LOVED chucks when i went to them from tennis shoes (crap imo)... they are worth the money if you are going to be serious about squats... luckily i got mine practically for free from a friend at the gym, her husband had an extra pair that didnt fit him, never wore them and sold them to me for $25... i dont know what brand they are, they just have a stamp that reads 'made in poland'... super high quality shoes imo... im always on a budget because my family is all into some type of training, my daughter plays competitive soccer on a traveling team, my older son plays basketball and baseball and will probably pick up football next year and my wife works out pretty heavy too, so it gets expensive... but i would say these shoes are right up there as necessary as a belt... and if i lost mine, i would replace them immediately...

I normally use mixed grip but even that started to let me down, Zed recommended straps as my grip is stopping any progress. Its pretty crap when you know you have the strength but your grip let's you down.

OK lots of work/overtime lately, which is good for cutting i guess... but im thinking i want to try to gain some more muscle at the start of my cycle, so im making a few diet changes... im not going to really limit my intake, however im going to keep the carbs clean and eat ORGANIC as much as possible/affordable...

the cycle is now going to be quite a bit bigger as i will be trying out some new gear from a buddy of mine, this will be killer... should start late next week, so it will be more of a 10 week blast, and i mean blast...
1-10 test prop 100mg eod (350mg/wk)
1-10 mast prop 100mg ed (700mg/wk)
1-6 tren ace 75mg eod (260mg/wk)
5-10 anavar 60mg ed (420mg/wk)
5-10 proviron 50mg ed (350mg/wk)
9-10 winstrol 50mg ed

never used the var before so this should be interesting... also going a bit lower on my tren injects... i may just run it out a little longer than 6 weeks until the two vials are empty, but i get a bit moody on tren so thats why im going to try a little less than my usual dose of 100mg eod...
the mast is high and ive used it before at 350/wk and wastn too thrilled with it and would like to give it a shot at a dose that i hear rave reviews over... if it dosnt shine at this dose for me i will give up on it...
little winny at the end, all i have on hand but really just to dry me out, i feel that is plenty of time to get the water out of me...
i was thinking proviron was overkill with all that mast, but 1. my buddy gymjunkie suggested it and 2. fuck it i wanna be hard as nails...

so still just cruising in on low test/npp until this arrives... hopefully by the end of the week i should be starting the mast and tren and upping the test a bit...

25g whey
2 sticks mozzerella string cheese
1 cup organic black bean enchilada

so not really going for a reduction in food, just beginning to clean it up a bit.. i think last time i cut myself short on the gains, as i know i can cut fast at the end, and the increased muscle will just make that easier... this was my 'least' clean day so far and im already looking a lot leaner, looking full and not so puffy/bloated as my water intake is up over a gallon and no more soda...
i have not added up my calories yet, but im not too worried about that yet, just taking out all the junk ive been eating is going to go a long way for me...

i think the higher calorie 'diet' will work better for me because my job is so active, im just going to have to stick to my am fasted cardio more consistently once i start it, probably the last month... im also going to go get some almonds today to add to the diet...

I think you're right on all accounts. Processed/refined foods do me a world of hurt... I get inflammation and bloated like you can't believe.

did some squats... lost the log i jotted down, but worked up to a single with 455 at much better depth, well below parallel, then a couple sets of front squats...

a busy work schedule is really making it hard to get in the workouts i would like, however my active job is really helping me lean out.........

Whats up moya! All these logs makes me want to start one....I havent worked out consistently since last January......My kid turns one this week. Anyway, I will be following this log. I know you already know what you are doing so I dont have much advice. I wish I had your squat, I guess I got my bench to make up for it haha.

dinner
huge shrimp burrito w/rice beans salsa sour cream etc

will eat one more meal before bed... maybe some almonds and milk?

i think im becoming overtrained... not from my lifting but from work... today was my only day off this week, tomorrow i go in and i will have 68 hrs for the week... im on my feet and lifting all day, upwards of 60,000lbs a NIGHT... that is an average of 2500 cases i lift, averaging at least 25lbs... many well over my height...
i think my bench progressed a LOT when i was taking a lot of time off, and its just depressing to it all go down the toilet because of my job... but i have to work for my family so there is no other option right now...
i should have stopped my workout today when the weights felt heavy, but what is done is done...
im considering taking off monday at work, tues is my regular day off and they cant tell me to come in tues if im not there monday, and i have plenty of sick time...

im going to work on eating more, and im already looking leaner in the mirror... and maybe cut down to pressing once a week... my entire shoulder griddle is sore as all hell tonight... maybe go an extra day of legs instead because they feel fine, and NO back work because its getting torched at work...

last year during this contest we were not so busy and i was getting in a manageable 50hrs a week... this summer is when it got so busy, and that is when my lifts were suffering as well... then since the holidays ive been using a lot of vacation days and some sick time, and whala, my lifts all skyrocketed...

i guess my job is good because it keeps me well conditioned (you would all probably die if you saw what ive been getting away with eating since the last contest)... but it sure does make it hard to get bigger and stronger... i guess less will have to be more...

damn, havent seen you around in a while... good luck keeping up with the lifting, a family does make it a bit harder to juggle things around...

pretty clean for an off day eh? the shrimp burrito was probably the worst... ;)

im considering getting into personal training... the nicer gyms out here pay $30 for a half hour sessions, the only thing is you kind of have to build up your own clients... soooo... at first i would have to juggle my current job with that, and the family... this job has just been breaking me down lately, and im thankful for it, but its just not something i want to do for the rest of my life...

destroy I think you would make a hell of a trainer. If you think thats what you wanna do then figure out how to give it a try bro. Maybe for just at first you could do that as an addition to your own training.
 
Damn moya sounds like work is kicking your ass bro. Great job on getting ANY lifts in with that work schedule. I work that many hours but behind a desk. Really respect your lifting too bro. No matter what man keep your main lifts up. You are a hell of a power lifter and could have a real future there imo.
