honestly, i took a while off in November, maybe 2 months without much bench... been back at it for a while now though... and definitely well beyond my previous plateau....

is that safe with no lower back support at all?

my lower back is supporting my body on the bench... im not just sitting up there with back all limp and flopping around... everything is tight...

i suppose if my core can squat and deadlift 450+ then a sub 300 bench should be no problem for it to support... i feel no major strain...

i think a lot of bigger competitive benchers throw a similar arch as well, it just looks smaller in proportion to their body...
 
IfIf u dont feel a strain then thatas good bro, i would never bench like that but we all have our own ways and either way, ur bench has improved a shit ton!!! Good job bro
