What was the sample size and method of infidelity assessment?

If it was a joint study conducted in part by Standford, its probably legit. However, 70% male infidelity rate is real high.

If the researches wanted to add study relevance, they shouldve polled the wives as well (no pun intended)

I don't know about the numbers, but I think it is pathetic for a man or woman to cheat on their spouse and then go home to that spouse like nothing ever happened.

i can't find the article to post the link, but most of you are correct inyour assertions and to clarify..

1. you're right, 70K isn't that bad a salary, its middle class, its just that it helps define the sample and include professional people who have more access to opposite sex, work in offices, goto lunch, work late, travel 4 business, etc., - roadmaps 4 cheating.

2. i would think the Notre Dame participation in the survey and not the idiots at Stanford would be most compelling and make me believe the #'s veracity.

and women are cheating more than ever.

that's because they've legitimately entered the work force and work in more & more executive and not just secretarial and support positions. i guess the cheating %age rises when income and responsibility/power rises.
