I worked legs last night and today they are absolutely KILLING me ! Should I skip the cardio tonight, or go on and endure the pain? I just don't want to break the muscle back down if it's in the process of rebuilding right now. I'm not sure what to do - let them rest or work 'em harder...???
 
Ok - I need some clarification because the last thing I want to do is waste my time..... Is it not possible to put on muscle while losing fat at the same time? I'm not trying to get "big" or anything...just get good muscle definition....while trimming the fat around my thighs.

Very easy to do as a beginner. As you get further into training, you will likely begin to feel like a dog chasing its tail and you will have to choose a strategy to meet one of those ends.
Building muscle=weight gain=eating more calories than you need to maintain
Burning fat=weight loss=eating fewer calories than you need to maintain
