Last Five Albums You Listened To Plus Ratings

Cradle of Filth - Dusk 10/10

Moonspell - Wolfheart 9.5/10

Arcturus - Sham Mirrors 6/10 for Garm's work, 8.5/10 overall

Blind Guardian - Nightfall 10/10

Best of Richard Feynman's Lectures in Physics - Superconductivity in Quantum Mechanics 10/10 (Feynman is god, naturally, but the newly remastered recordings are a bit better)

I picked up a few classics when I went home last, hence the high rankings (of, obviously, some classic albums)

:cow:

The Advantage - Elf Titled 6.5/10 (keeps growing on me)
Shellac - 1000 Hurts 6.5/10 (fls (first listen score), I only had At Action Park)
Raien - Raien 6/10 (fls, finally found their debut)
Eden Maine - To You the First Star 6/10 (fls, suprisingly good)
Part Chimp - I Am Come 6.5/10

I'll rate some older albums I've been listening lately.

Boz Scaggs - Silk Degrees 10/10
Lene Marlin - Lost In a Moment 8½/10
Steely Dan - AJA 10/10
Jackson Browne - The Pretender 10/10
Van Halen - 5150 8/10

Well also little bit of Madonna's new album Confessions on a Dance Floor.... I say 6/10

Alchemist - Austral Alien 6/10 (fls)
Ringworm - Justice Replaced By Revenge 6.5/10
Disgorge - Parallels Of Infinite Torture 6/10 (I wish the guitars were a bit more dominate in the mix)
Phobia - Means of Existence 5.5/10 (Looking forward to the new one, hopefully with better production)
Scissorfight - Victory Over Horseshit 6/10 (fls)

Borknagar - Olden Domain 10/10 One of my, if not my single favorite album.

Kari - Demo Recordings 9/10 Kari from 3rd And The Mortal, also appeared on Storm's classic folk-black metal album. This is her solo album with only her singing and minimal instrumentation accompanyment.

My Dying Bride - Turn Loose the Swans 9.5/10 MDB's best album, hands down classic.

My Dying Bride - The Light at the end of the World 9.5/10 Superb come-back album sees MDB back to their roots with improved gutterals more akin to BM then DM, only sans violin.

Iced Earth - The Dark Saga 10/10 Their best album with their masterpiece A Question of Heaven.

Kari's vocals were stunning in 3rd And The Mortal.

The Mercury Program - A Data Learn the Language 8.5/10 (this is usually a 9, I just focused on the percussion today)
The Mercury Program/Maserati - Confines of Heat 7.5/10
Gospel - The Moon is a Dead World 6/10
Disgorge - Parallels Of Infinite Torture 6.5/10 (starting to really get into this)
Gorefest - La Muerte 5.5/10 (fls)

I almost picked up some Borknagar a couple weeks ago. :) Empiricism it was, I think.

I'm a fan of all the Borknagars... very rare for a band to alternate singers every two albums to remain true to their style and music.

I think the Olden Domain is their best mainly 'cause I'm a huge fan of Garm and his vocals. Vortex and Vintersorg, the subsequent singers for Borknagar, are strangly similar to Garm's style.

I thought Erase was absolutely godly. I've never picked up anything from Jan and the boys since Erase and the Eindoven Insanity.
I enjoyed Soul Survivor a lot. The new one is okay, just haven't spent enough time with it. The last instrumental is really good.
