Just another UFC wanna be, what to do

Regardless of what they say bro chicks dig the cauli...

I don't know about that. I haven't met a single woman that doesn't think it looks disgusting.

But it's a price to pay if you are serious about fighting. You can only do so much to protect your ears.

i think some people are just genetically predispositioned to getting cauliflower ears...i have wrestled and grappled my whole life and been hit in the ears literally thousands of times and have never gotten cauliflower.i know many great mma fighters who also dont have them.

Cauli is a random thing, some guys get it others dont. How many grapplers in here have gotten ringworm or staff during their years on the mat?

staff has gone around in my gym several times...luckily i never got it...i did get ringworm once.

LOL ... to dip your toes in the pool id suggest hitting up a BJJ place asap. If you enjoy the grappling aspect of the game and you feel your learning quickly (its a very cereberal sport, not the SNAP rage type guy your protraying yourself to be) join a boxing club, or if your lucky and have on locally a Muay Thai gym. If you dont mind getting punched in the face and having your legs get the shit kicked out of them congratulations! Join a a full blown mma acedemy, and from the guy @ your club youll be directed as to when youll compete, how youll train, if your gona cut weight etc.
The hardest part is always the first day bro ... but in all realism, knowing how to fight will help you alot more some day than having puffy muscles. Take the plunge bro its definitley worth it.

*** its not called UFC! its called MMA(mixed martial arts)! UFC is a stereotyped name brand that Americans have adopted.

Also seeing how you seem to be more inclined to striking I suggest you watch some PRIDE FC fights. Pride in most oppinion is much better than the UFC in about every aspect (money, production, fighters, rules etc).
Heres a few links that may take you past the realm of "Tim Sylvia and Chuck Liddell" as world champs lol.

And spar all your friends and anyone else who is willing to do it safely with you.. You see if you are good or not and decide what to do with all the options everyone has given you

You Know Imediatally When You Train For 6 Months If You Have Certain Tools Like Heavey Hands Grappling Ability Knolage Of Leverage/ Thai Kicks And Knee`s Like Wanderlei Silva Ect Ect If You Don`t Belive In Your Self And Feels You Have The Tools To Exceed In 3-4 Yrs Then It`s Going To Be A Tough Decision Man Good Luck Train Hard Make Sure You Have Amazing Cardio! ~g~

To avoid cauliflower ear, you have to drain it all the time. My old man started draining mine in high school. A 22 gauge pin works great.
