Is There Anyone Here That Doesn't Drink or Party?

ever? is it possible? cuz i never feel like going to bars. or drinking anymore. seems i'm the only one that feels that way around here....
 
I don't. Having a VERY busy toddler sorta inhibits the "go out and party" desire ... knowing I will have to take care of her in the morning with a hangover? nothankyou! Regardless, even before her, I was out of the "party scene" - holds no attraction for me at all.
 
I quit drinking a few months ago. I never was a big drinker as it was. I've never been much of one for parties. I get irritated with drunk people really quick, and the guys who have a couple drinks and suddenly they are tough. I found myself getting into too much trouble in those type of atmospheres'.

dating is hard when trying to avoid bars. never met a gal who wasn't up for drinking a couple times a week....
 
I don't anymore. My version of a party and drinking now is taking a 1/2 glass of wine on the front balcony and having my handicapped neighbor come by so we can fake fun of the white trash across the street......good times ;-)

I drink about once a week if that.. and when I do it's not really partying, going to a dive bar with a couple friends.. rarely do I get a tinkling for going downtown and partying

True, can be hard to meet people when you don't go out much. I guess before I started dating my now-hubby I was going out MUCH more.

Only other places to meet women .... your "hobby places" ...... gym, work related things, etc. Can be a challenge, for sure.

LOSER, lol. Kidding .....

NO interests? Maybe you will have to do the online thing! :) How about you DEVELOP a hobby .... snowboarding, skiing, running, biking, climbing, reading, cooking, whatever and try to meet people through one of the "clubs"?
 
I wouldn't say I go out partying, but I have a great time going out with the girls for Friday nite happy hour at our local "cheers" bar. :)
 
Well I am only 26 and I might be a bit young, but I am not into the whole party bullshit. I drink once in a while not too often.
Seems that only stupid shit happens when there is a party and I hate feeling like shit. Alcohol just aint for me.
 
I don 't drink or do drugs but I do go to some pretty fantastic 'parties'.

Last one was Lucha Britannia, a mexican wrestling/fetish/burlesque type of club.

I am planning on going to the Rubber Ball at the Hammersmith Palaise after my qualifier in October. The bikini and tan could be a perfect outfit :)

social anxiety and hatred for mankind and not drinking because of lifting and it making me feel super sick and shitty make for me not drinking or partying

i have a beer or glass of wine at home or out at dinner, but i don't go out to 'party'.
 
life is boring without going out..........it's a great way to relieve the tension of a stressful work environment.

i meet so many cool people and make great connections when i go out, especially if you have a good group of friends it's awesome. If you know how to socialize properly, there's no better feeling.

if partying wasnt so expensive (at least here), and alcohol wasnt so damaging to a healthy lifestyle...i'd be going out 3-4 times a week for sure.
 
I used to party way too much & binge drink all the time when I was playing rugby. Got into a lot of trouble :(...I eventually matured though lol. I don't really have that urge anymore.
 
I'm more likely to go out for a few now that they banned smoking in Washington. Not a big drinker, I'll have a rum and coke or something fruity like a black opal, play some pool. As for dating I try to never meet a girl in a bar, nuttin but a bunch of bar fly hooker whores in there.

I miss that.....if I had the energy, I would go out much more.
 
where you hang out and who you spend your time with is a big part of it.

if i lived in idaho or whatever bumblefuck..basically anywhere not a real city (and by real city i can list maybe 5-10 in the US) i probably wouldn't have anywhere near as much fun and meet the people i meet, or hang out with the friends i have and probably wouldn't drink at all.

south beach/miami area has lots of pretentious assholes, but there are alot of out of towners and transplants that are cool as hell and in the know. you meet alot of interesting people at the right lounges/clubs

I'm the same. I would rather have people over for a BBQ or go to someone house to visit than go out in bars, pubs, clubs.....annoying loud noise and people that I dont care to be around
 
I think I've gone out and partied enough in my life. When I got divorced, I was really depressed and drank myself stupid for about a year. Quit that for around a year and will have a drink or two every once in a while. Most of the people I know are still ragers, so sometimes it's hard not to go out. It's just not worth feeling shitty, the money spent, etc.

the last time i went to a bar was in 2006 when we met longhorn and his wife for pool. i think i had a few diet cokes.

Comes a time when a person has to grow up... I drink a little every now and then, but I don't party regularly. It can be a big issue between partners.

this question is very age dependent too.

when you're married, with kids...going out is non existent. you're lucky to go out to dinner.

i know some successful couples in their early-mid 30's that still party hard maybe like 3 times a month and are still good parents. that's a very fine line though....

i think when you're young you need to do it all so you can get it out of your system.

lucky for me my system can handle plenty more for the next oh....8 years :)
 
when you're 25 and partying, it's a rite of passage. at 35, it's fucking pathetic.....
 
Old lady in blue sweater update: My friend came to town today for a huge private party downtown tonight. I've not seen my friend or his bro (who moved to Australia) in over a yr. He calls me at 7 and says "come on J, come to the party"
All I could think about was my clean sheets on my bed, a cup of ovaline and my book.

I socialize and drink but I don't consider that 'partying'. I have 1-3 drinks, enjoy the company then take my butt home.

I dance...a lot. I used to pop/lock ad breakdance. I also learned some spanish dancing. I like to go crazy and no way you'll know I'm not drinking if you'd see me party. But, I still don't drink.
 
I'm a fucking full time bartender and yes I help ugly people get laid. I used to party all the time though when i had a daytime job. Now i get to party and being paid for it. Sometimes i have my jager-bombs, socolimes blah blah blah... but I'm into leaving a healthy life.

I`ve turned many guys onto to timberwolf
especially my cemetery guys
you have to discredit the idea in thier mind that they are using a cheap brand
basically destroy brand loyalty
which is most strong with tobacco

I tell them
look you`re paying four a can for copenhagen and it erodes your gums the worst
this timbewolf in the black and red packs plenty of nicotine and it`s a far smoother event for your mouth

Bartending is fucking great! I love it!!! I want to be a personal trainer and own a gym someday but i still don't have the means to get there...

I tried once to imagine life without alcohol and got so depressed that I simply had to make myself a cocktail. :biggrin:
 
I don't drink much, and I hate "going out" for the sake of "going out"

My life is a party though and I enjoy herb.

LOL, thanks. Unfortunately i had to give it up because i wasn't so funny. I just wanted the OP to know that his social life doesn't end because he doesn't party.

My life has never been better. It was hard to see that at first and i had the same attitude as him. A life without going out seemed so worthless. It just takes some time and the right attitude.

End of boring sober rant.
 
Yeah, I don't drink, eat out or party which pretty much severs most social occasions.

I just eat, sleep, work, train and read. Pretty uneventful which I'm somewhat content with, but at the same time would like more excitement just without too much drama attached. Very much a catch-22. I don't like meeting heavy social drinkers bordering on drunks and alcoholics. In my experience, too many pretenses.
 
No drinking or partying for me… I did enough of that in my 20’s. Drinking slows your metabolism down for 4 days after drinking, makes it hard for your body to stay anabolic. If you are serious about working out and staying fit you don’t drink, bottom line.
 
I agree with the above. i've picked up the pace alot in the past year or so and you can totally tell

oh well.

i can stay home when i have kids
