injury need help from my bros

I know this has little to do with anabolics , but its where all my friends hang out so mods I apologize.

I was on the incline bench this past Monday and on my last rep of the last set I strained fairly hard and felt a "pull" that ran from the back of my head down my neck on my right side. A pretty wicked head ache sat in behind my eye on the same side , more of a throbbing pain and remained throughout the night. The next day my neck felt a bit stiff but i worked out biceps no problem, it actually made my neck feel better. That night i had another bad head ache and severe neck pain enough that i couldnt sleep , so i took wed. off. Yesterday (Thursday) I got on the incline bench warming up with 105lbs 15-20 reps. During the warm up on rep 13 the right side of my head esp behind the eye exploded with a hard throbbing pain. It was enough to make my right eye water up and stop. the pain went down my neck on that same side. Now im on a two day headache and neck pain. I can actually feel it in my teeth on that side as well. through my mma I got hooked up with a us olympic team massage therapist but it wont be until next week, so im trying to figure out what i did and what I should be doing now , if any of you have been through somthing similar. Thanks is advance guys.
 
Bro, i just blew out my lower back yesterday. walked it off after a few minutes and finished up my workout. Woke up today barely able to move. Took some ibuprofen since it's a muscle relaxer. I can at least walk now and am not in intense pain. I had chest and tri's today and i'm pissed i wont make it, but i'm hoping a few days of rest and ibuprofen will take care of it. If it's still messed up i'm going to the doc monday since i've never hurt my back before. My point is try laying off a 2-3 days and rest and take some ibuprofen or something that will calm your muscles down bc you obviously strained or pulled something. If it's still bothering you after a little bit of rest and pain reliever see a doc asap bro.
 
Yea thats the plan for now.... ive just never had a strain that triggered a never ending headache and would flare up on somthing as simple as a warm up. I dont know if its somthing with the nerves , just the muscle, ect...
 
I hear you. Anything having to do w/ the neck or spine is always a bit unnerving. Its crazy how everything is connected. Let's just hope it was a pull rather than something worse tho bro.
 
yup! sounds like you pulled something, heres what i would do Take some ibuprofen 800mgs in the morning and later that day another 800mgs,do this for no longer than 10 days,do not skip a day,Its not like a headache, it takes a while to build up in your system since it's an anti inflamatory. No training until then. if the problem persists after that then you need to see a Doc. I seriously doubt a massage therapist is going to help you.
I work at a hospital and see these things every day.
 
Thanks Radar, i will do that exactly. The reason he is seeing me is bc they have a team so xray and chripractors ect, and i just have to give em 20 bucks so i figured it wouldnt hurt. outside of them the only thing i think i would need if it continued would be mri. Thanks again bro , i hate not being able to lift
 
definitely give it some rest.. real full 100% full rest..
 
Ranger bro im so sorry to hear this happen to a good bro. Definitely sounds like a pull bro. I was out 2 weeks ago for four days after pulling my back. I know how you are feeling. Find out for sure what's up so you don't do permanent damage. Prayers up for a speedy recover bro.

Thanks guys.... I appreciate the help and feedback.... guess its a good excuse to stock up on bjs and sleep lol.... so while im resting should i ice my neck , heat, both or just let it ride.
