seriously. I really want to let them know how much I despise them . I got 1 grandmother I like..i think im gonna change my name to her last name. MY ex is moving into the basement apartment which i fixed up , my sisters scumbag boyfriend who I fought him and his father infront of my house because they are pure white trash is being paid 5g's to renovate some things down there. ....I want my ex to take my place as a family member and for me to disappear. im dead serious about this.

i mean if I saw my father in a fight I got his back til death but I still no longer want to be a legitimate family member.

Can't help you there, but I CAN tell you that having a job that requires travel will peel you away from your family like it was never there. I stay in contact with my family, but I don't see them very often.

it just seems like it would be way more money and hassle than it's worth. plus if god forbid one of your family members required serious medical treatment, you wouldn't have any say in their care. not sure how much you despise them though

i've changed my name (first and last, and not because of marriage). its a lengthy process if done legally.
