I hate Spring break!!!!!crowding the gym with cocky frat pricks on the gear

Just about an hour ago I was at the gym and was about to use the incline bench so this geek walks up to me and sais "I got one more set buddy". I said "OK No problem". So im waiting and his cell phone rings. He answered it standing beside the bench and I was just looking at him waiting while I was dripping sweat from some earlier dropsets I was doing. I just told myself "fuck it" and took the bench. I tried to be a nice guy but he took too fucking long I gave him like 5-6 minutes. If he expects me to sit there and wait for his phone converstaion to end hes nuts. Is it just me or does anyone else feel I did the right thing? He just walked away and didnt say a word. I believe everyone has a right to use the equipment and I respect those who are dedicated but when it comes to goofballs like this forget it. Dont waste my fuc***g time.

Yeah you did the right thing for sure. The best would have been to "accidentally" drop a nice 80-lb DB right on his phone when he put it down.

Ya know Bro's I think even though the 1/8 squats and bullshit flexing gets to all of us; I feel that if the little frat pricks and wannabes would just have so damn respect and use common sense it would be more tolerable. Don't sit your skinny little ass on the machine or bench between sets, get up and offer to rotate with someone waiting. Don't stand arround running your piss flap to your shithead friends and do nothing, do some work and put the weights back when your done!! That's the big one for me, leaving plates and dbells lying arround, I have looked at the little cocky pricks and said," you and your boyfriends need to put that stuff back where it belongs." They don't give me any lip, and they generally don't screw arround much longer either. The few that have a problem with that I walk them over to the gym rules posted on two of the three walls and quote them.

Common sense,(uncommon sense), and respect would be welcome.

You definitely did the right thing, but why'd you give this 5 guy minutes? Damn! Cell phones should not be allowed in gym. Its not a social event. I guess the only reason to bring a cell to the gym would be if your spotting partner couldn't make it, and you needed to call him and have him call your mother a fat bitch to make you angry enough to move all that weight you put on the bench!
