I hate Spring break!!!!!crowding the gym with cocky frat pricks on the gear

Sorry for the flame thread, and delete it if you have to, but I just have to rant a bit and get this off my chest.

I can't be the only one who hate's these little 150 lbs. Frat pricks who all of the sudden start crowding the gyms around town, and begin their "mad rush juice cycle" every year around spring break season. Approx. 2 months from Spring Break all the sudden "Kappa Suck My Nutta" are pro-bodybuilders. You never see these idiots in the gym all year but when spring break is near....WATCH OUT!!!!!

Does this type sound familiar: They are wearing kacki Cargo Pants, Ambercrombie Armless T-shirts, and a backward turned Ball cap. After getting that unfamiliar "pump" after a few sets and reps on the bench press, they all the sudden "puff up" and walk around with the eternal Lat-spread and roostered out chest. They are known to do exercises like the:

Flat Bench "sternum bounce" (aka: bench press)

Barbell Bicep "swing/yank curl" (aka: barbell curls)

Lat-yank downs ( aka: lat-pulldowns)

etc. etc. They of course will never touch the Squat rack or any other leg exercise hence the chicken leg syndrome. But hey......chicks only care about chest and arms anyway Right???

After maybe a month on the gear and weighing a whopping 170 lbs now, they will now be ballsy enough to strut over and ask me "how many more sets you got left" guess what mthr'fkr.....I will now do another 4 sets just to spite your ass. Or better yet, as I'm doing a set of " SLOW,CONTROLLED, FULL R.O.M." 110 lbs. dumbell bench presses, I'll get some punk lay on the bench next to me and pick up a pair of 120's and proceed to do a set of 1/4 reps then stand up and look at me like he just showed me up.

To all you little punks: why don't you be real men and train in the offseason as well. Or at least show some f'n respect before I knock that goofy smirk off your face.

By the way FYI - I've been out of college for appox. 5 years and was myself in a Frat. so don't talk shit about me not knowing what I'm talking about because I've known your type personally.

I'm not quite slingin' around the 110's, but I've had this little phenomenon happen to me too.

I feel you guy,I live in a university town ,U.F. between 6 to 8 forget about working out the place is packed with them. But what can you do.just work-out and say fuck it.

I hear ya bro..and what I really can't stand is when those SKINNY 140lb losers always feel the need to wear wife beaters and sleeveless shirts to the gym. As if they fuking have anything to show off! Oh but excuse me..some of them are so damn skinny, the minute they get a tri showing, they just HAVE to strut around in their wifebeaters, flexing their goods in front of the ladies. Makes me puke.

That type really pisses me off. The "look good for summer" Crowd. They usually start showing up after new years, all the way until about may. It's not just college students. Also house wifes, older men etc.

I believe that there are so few serious bodybuilders, and pro's not because few people have those genetics, but more so because most people are like this crowd we are talking about. In all truth, most of the world lacks the desire and heart it takes to do this, and take it seriously (competing, or not). I love this sport, and would never use it as a look good for a few months cure all. So, it pisses me off when I see these fucks taking up good space in the gym to do 1,000 sit ups, a set of bench press and some dips, then running around the gym like they own it with a cocky attitude.

I think the truth of the matter is, more guys take roids to get a brad pitt fight club look, than to build some solid muscle. Sad part is, the look they all want could be had with some good old fashioned hard work... tsk tsk :p

flex on 'em

I like to wait until they are trying to mack on one of their little hos then get up next to them & flex a few times. Humbles them quite quickly. The next time they're doing their 1/4 reps sit up from yours & do that one time. I bet they're not smiling so much after that.! Nothing breaks me out into my "Rage" more than a loudmouth punk running his fucking mouth & being loud trying to draw attention to himself.

:FRlol: :FRlol: :FRlol:

That shit cracks me up. I thought my gym was the only one with skinny pricks that get a pump right quick then walk around and talk to everyone in the gym. I decided to take alternative action and got a membership to a new gym to avoid the fuckers. Now it's mostly just friendly people who are all there for one reason.. to look good YEAR ROUND! It cracks me up when all the frat and sorority folks work out on Friday evenings so they look good for the bars that night!

I live in Canada so it's not so rampant here but we still do get the wanna be bodybuilders who get on a cycle or 2 and thinking they're king shits. These are the bar staff type crowd, they all think they're cool because they're 25 years old working in a shit bar/club. lol
They put on significant size with their sust and D-bol and all of a sudden grow and attitude with it. Yet I don't think i've seen any of these IDIOTS bench over 3 plates for reps.
Man when I was JUICE FREE and 18 I was doing 3 plates on bench for reps. And these guy are inbetween 21 and 27 and they think they're big time?? WHAT A JOKE. These guys need to be hammered over the head and taught a lesson!

P.S. Don't mind me, i'm dieting!

I can completely grok all of the complaints on here--especially when people think by doing quarter-reps with more weight they are 'showing you up'--but I have one to add to the list: people who do not rerack their weights. Some dudes will have like three sets of dumbells by the incline bench, for them and their buddy to do drop sets or whatever, then when they're done they just drop them there and leave. Then you're looking for a perticular set of DBs and you have to look all around the gym to find them.

I mean, I can understand leaving 135 on a squat rack or a bench but there is no excuse for leaving DBs strewn about.

Sounds to me like your a little bitter. Worry about yourself bro. Your just mad that your space has been invaded. Space that you do not own. Go somewhere else or at a different time or something. Stop wasting board space with your hostility.
