Hushmail Tampering

Quarkey

New member
Okay, I think this is very strange. Last week I logged in to my hushmail account and noticed that two emails had been opened, but i hadn't opened them. i hadn't been online for about a week and it was mail that was from the day prior to logging on. Then just a minute ago i logged on again and there was onother email that was sent last night that was opened. I haven't logged on to hushmail since sunday night. Has anyone else had this problem. Fortunately there isn't anything of interest that was opened, but still, it seems like someone is snooping around in my mail.

No one has had this happen? Does anyone have a suggestion. I don't want to make a big deal about this, but I'm not sure what to do. do you think i should just open another account, or do you think it's not that big a deal?

personally, i didn't think anyone would have that much interest to single me out, but i just thought it was very strange. thanks for the post Delinquent.

Quarkey,

It's just a bug in their software. Next time you login, if some mail that you haven't opened yet is marked as having already been "read", click on 'Inbox' and it will reload the message headers and those messages should then be marked as "unread". If that doesn't work, I'd suggest changing your password.

do you have a girlfriend or family member who may have figured out your password? You should change your password frequently.
