How do you rent your house out to Section 8 / HUD housing?

my parents and their next door neighbors really, really, really HATE each other.

well, my parents live in a quite swanky neighborhood (homes start at 3500 square feet), and i am sure having some riff-raff rent out their house (and get a government subsidy, ta' boot!) would finally win the battle that has been going on for years.

their neighbor would absolutely, positively flip shit.

call HUD, they will send someone out to inspect the house, they have all kinds of shit they look at, does it have locks on all the doors, any windows cracked, etc. If they find it satisfactory, you negotiate how much the rent will be. The family that gets the house may be great, you don't know, not everybody that uses it is a crack head, though some are.

Your dad must be really pissed at the neighbor if he is thinking of doing that. Next thing the house could be torn to shit, cars parked in the yard, BBQ pit going while peeps sit on an old couch that they found by the road.... LMAO

that's why most section 8 houses are just rent property that they can't keep rented....

I really don't think that they list their occupations as "crackhead", most just lie and say they're looking for a job....

why would they want to drag their property values down just over spite?

if anyone gets a wiffof secion 8 in the neighborhood you could lose serious value
