I've admitted that I only have what the shrink told me, what the professional counselor (though admittedly I do not know their acreditation) and what the research that WE BOTH did said.
Doesn't mean that this could only be a particular segment of the population with ADD/ADHD but of all the people that I do know with it - we are all above average intelligence, one actually MENSA member... not biteme MENSA... but really.
Still, IQ is not an accurate predictor of success in life.
My posts were not meant to say *look at us we are smart* - not at all. What I was trying to say for those others who don't know that they may be the case, to look at the situation differently. Not say, "My kid is slow, now WTF am I going to do." but "My kid may just be bored because they aren't being stimulated enough. What can I do to fascilitate that?"
