r-ALA is supposedly 3x as effective as racemix(s and r) ALA. I just started using r-ALA , but have been taking 300-600mg ALA with meals for a couple months and do see a difference when taking 1200mg+ per day.
I actually dropped bodyfat using Insulin and ALA for 1 month.
That's what I was thinking. Since I will be doing low carbs throughout. Still haven't gotten ahold of some though will be though soon enough.
