Tues. 7/4/06 Woke up at 5 AM and downed 2 servings of oatmeal and a bunch of water

6:00 AM

Decline Situps: Bodyweight x 3 sets of 20

Back Hyperextensions: Bodyweight x 3 sets of 20

Standing Calf Raise Machine : Stack x 3 sets of 20, don't know what the stack weighed, but not really concerned with it either.

Left the gym and had a 4 egg turkey omlette and a big stack of pancakes

10:00 AM

Back Squat: 135x8, 225x5, 315x3, 355x3, 385x3, 405x3, 420x3

Chins: Bodyweight x 10, 9, 9, 8, 7

I would have preferred to do this one later in the evening, but it is the 4th and the gym closes early, felt pretty good. I will post my 4th of July pig out a little later after it happens. Also, last week during my deload type week, I back squatted 505x1, which I was VERY happy with, my lifetime best is 515 at a heavier bodyweight, so I'll take that especially taking all the pulls I have been training into consideration.

It was only last week I checked the collars on the bars in my hole, out of 12 bars only 2 have properly revolving barings on the sleeves. I gotta wonder how much that's been pushing me out of the groove on all number of exercises as some of them are pretty much welded fast.

One thing I've found is that a lot of gyms have some older equipment floating around especially bars. If you know what the collars look like on the older York bars you are almost guaranteed to find that they've retained decent enough spin over the years. In addition, because these bars are obviously not new, or chrome looking, or black and chrome, they aren't in high demand as people don't really know what they are looking at (like a Ferrari Dino sitting there with people people racing Yugos around). Scoping out the bars is the first thing I do after making sure there's a rack (and grumbling under my breath about Arthur Jones and his bullshit marketing that has made bumpers so damn rare).
 
Wednesday 7/5/06

Snatch-grip behind-the-neck jerk : a lot of warmups and presses/push presses with 135, then.....135x3, 185x3, 205x3, 225x1, 255x1, 275x1, 295x1, 305x1

Incline dumbell press: 3 sets of 10 with 110lbers

Pretty good night. The gym was extra packed probably because it was dead the last 4 days because of the 4th of July weekend. The behind the neck jerks gathered quite a bit of "fans". Some kid took a pic of the 295 and 305 sets with his cell phone, they were pretty good, they are shots from the back, the 295 shot I am bent at the knees with the bar locked out and ready to stand up, the 305 is the finished lift with the bar overhead....When I left I gave the kid my e-mail address and told him to send them to me....nothing yet, so if I run into him again, I will shake him down, lol.

I weighed in at 249 today after a great weekend of eating. Yesterday, at the house, I had 2 large burgers and 2 brats and an obscene amount of pasta salad.....then a few hours later at a friend's cookout, I had 2 burgers, a hot dog, and several ears of corn on the cobb, and a small slice of cake, lol.
 
Bad ass. That's gotta' feel good. LoL @ having an audience. Sometimes my dogs come down inthe basement and just kinda' sit there staring vacantly. LoL

You need to take some goddamn pics or videos man and post 'em up. There are very few oly-assistance lift vids floating around. Post 'em!

Why only 2 movements?
 
305 overhead! Damn, thats impressive behind the neck.. hopefully that picture will get sent to you and not end up on his myspace ;)

pb I'd trade you the dogs for the gawkers, nothing puts me off more than looking up and seeing a group of A&F's staring at me when I'm about to lift something

this cracks me up. im ona strict diet for a figure show & eat about this much food over 2 weeks...lol

I have to start eating more. At 249, you're catching up.

Twice a day workouts AND 8-9 hours of sleep... T should just sleep @ the gym ... It'll save on the gas money.

I wanna see those pictures! ;)
