Just from curiosity, I searched the last 3 days' obituaries in the New Orleans Times-Picayune, and there was only one possible; Kenneth Donnelly, age 20, and I think that's too young. All the others were much older (or sadly much younger). I don't know how they do it at that newspaper, but most papers only publish paid obits, which must be placed by family or the funeral home. Some papers have a county death notice log, but I didn't see one for New Orleans. So this means that in papers with only manually-placed obits, plenty of deaths pass by without anything written.
