My right knee is becoming a real pain in the ass (water on the knee). It used to bother me years ago, and now it's back. I did a pretty hard leg workout tonight and my knee has got a dull soreness in it. Anyone had any luck with glucosamine/chondroitin or wrapping it/knee braces? I'm on a eq/sust cycle and I'd rather not give my legs a break mid-cycle. :worried:

deca really helps my knees and joints period. I'm 6'4" and have to really warm up my knees doing leg ext. before squatting or else the pain would be almost unbarable, but deca is something you should look into

As TigerNugg said: Deca!

You might also have your doc prescribe you ostearthritis medicine like: Bextra, Celebrex etc...

Have you tried icing your knees afterward to help with the swelling?

Hope this helps, OxyNug.

I used deca on my 2nd cycle. I was a well oiled machine, my knees didn't bother me a bit. But I hate to use deca on every cycle. Although, I could mix in 150mg/wk into my future cycles without any worry of sides.

Using Deca every cycle is out of the questions unless you want permaDecaDick which = playing pingpong with a limp paddle.

Do what I said: Go talk to your doc and ask for Bextra, Celebrex etc.

Also, ice your knees after leg day.....

Wondering if you'll get the limpness with a low deca dose. And believe me, I agree, I don't want to break out the viagara again.
We've got our own doc at my work. I'll hit him up tomorrow and see if he'll slip me a prescription for joint pain. Div, Are any of the bextra's,celebrex'es, etc. better than others or all about the same?

Bextra and Celebrex are in the same class of NSAID (COX-2 inhibitors), which specifically target osteoathritis.

Neither is better, Lil' Oxy.....

Ask him for either and whichever your insurance covers will be fine.

Deca <--- Best choice for immediate relief (2 weeks) but only can be used short term

Synvisc <--- Synthetic joint fluid administered as a series of 3 shots over 3 weeks. Takes a while for the fluid to have the cushioning effect but REALLY helped me.

Prolotherapy <--- Usually preformed only by doctors of osteopathic medecine. Widely discredited by the orthopods as nonsense (probably because it prevents them from charging for expensive surgeries like orthoscopic knee ect.) It is a series of injection consisting of a analgesic such as lidocaine and a sugary solution such as dextrose as some other substances.

I used prolotherapy for my neck and it helped me out. The synvisc I have done twice. Doctors say it only works for 6 months, but this is only in the case of the elderly who have virtually no synovial fluid/glucosamine in their joints which have progressed to the painful "bone on bone" situation. After the second round I have been good for over 4 years. My success probably has to do with leg strengthening exercises as well as those that tighten ligaments and therefore stabalize the patella from sliding around.

HOPE THIS HELPS!
Feel free to PM me if you need additional information.
