HAHAHA I just read through the entire thread because Ive got a girl in AB and I live in the States, and last time I was up there I wanted Popeyes (chicken)... I dont think she had heard of the nutrition store, cause she said there was no Popeyes in Canada, but its too funny that I was reading through this post and saw you mention a conversation with a Popeyes employee! Im glad your doin better bro keep your head up, it sounds like your doin fine!

BTW... how do you like the Stronglifts 5x5 for an intermediate lifter who just wants to switch things up? Ive never done a true 5x5
 
if she lives in canmore ill take good care of her. lol i like the program, im only intermediate myself.. beginner in terms of lifting strength i would say atm. my bench is hella weak at 175 for 5 sets of 5 reps. squat 275, dl 245. but could prob add a bit more on there. maybe same as squat but i dont wanna push it too hard wit my back injury before. its easy, every other day lifting allows for an actual life on the off days, although i still go for a run or a bike ride or something to burn cals. i add in weighted hypers on one workout and weighted situps on the other is my only modification to the workout. bottom line is it seams to work... not being a bber either i dont really care for fully isolated workouts
 
I'm into week three of the 5x5 and really loving it. I've finally gotten all of my lifts in the 300's and still going. The squatting three times a week though is tough on my knees, I'm blaming the winny on that though. I go past parallel too so it isn't my form bishes. I've also stopped using a belt and wrist wraps since starting and my core and grip strength is the strongest it's ever been...I recommend.

Going on week 2 with krill oil along with a glucosamin/chondroitin combo. This is on top of fish and flax oils. I'm just now starting to notice a slight improvement. I hear it has to build up a bit first?
 
i got some joint problems and it helped me a little over a week i noticed a difference. i ran 3 grams daily till i noticed improvement, then kept it at one gram a day since.
 
i used to be in pretty darn good shape before my 2 year layoff cuz of injuries. i was never the strongest as i trained for endurance primarily as i fought competitively and also tried to remain under 165 pounds. when i was 22 i could bench 245 for 12 reps, dl 315 for 10 and squat 365 for 10 @ 165 pounds. my goal was always 15 reps per weight. dont grill me on stupidity is not the point here. i got upto 35%bf and 220 pounds approx during my in hospital/surgery/injury time. since dec/januarish when my rehab started i have cut to 185ish pounds and 21%bf as of last week. i walk into popeyes today and this squidgelet overweight pudge monkey starts chatting with me and getting into routine and supps and stuff and starts giving me grief for how i train. in the last 6 months from myself being a fat fuck i am now significantly in better shape than him. i just wanted to ring his fucking neck. stupid penis wrangling cock dick toucher. i was about to go gladiator on him. good thing he wasnt wearing glasses

i dont think so. i think he was just a pompous ass who thinks he is a know it all and wanted to show off. he wasnt a stocky kind of guy either. he was just straight up fat. oh well. i have ef and soon ill be a monster while he is still a little pudglett
