I went to Wendy's today and got...

Mandarin Chicken Salad (ate it without any dressing)
1/4lb Double Cheeseburger (threw away the bun)

I know this may not be ideal, but I was starving and far away from home.

Any other allowable stuff at fast food joints for Low-Carbers?

Whenever I'm out and get hungry I'll either Burger King and get a Whoper or go to Subway and get a roasted chicken salad. I think the roasted chicken has some carbs in it, but not enough to throw me out of ketosis so I guess its ok.
I'm not sure if this is true or not, but I heard that some fast food places add bread crumbs in their beef so you might want to watch out for that as well.

I was thinking --- there aren't very many of us nutritionally informed/obsessed people out there. That would be funny to see someone else doing that at a fast-food place one day.

Boston Market

I go to Boston Market and get a chicken roaster.. whole bird if im really hungry ! Healthier that the crap Wendy's or BK serve IMHO....

peace,

McD's Double Cheeseburgers. $.99 for 2 patties, toss the buns. About 28g protein, 24g fat, if i remember right. Plus they taste GOOD.

A chicken place is excellent. Like a KFC or something. You can peel the skin off if they don't already have skinless. Lot's of protein, low carbs.

check to see if there's a sierra grill around your way, the best alternative to home cooking hands down!! when ever the owner is around he will let me have my meal on the house, ive spent a good amount of loot there though

Local Grocery Store

Also, the local grocery supermarket also many times has a section next too the deli where you can pick up a already cooked chicken roaster already done...mmmmm...love my roasted chicken :p :p

i dont see anything wrong with these two meals from fast food:

blimpie: 6" grilled chicken on wehat, doulbe meat, and whatever veggies you want, no cheese or mayo, you are getting wheat bread a lot of veggies and 2 grilled chicken slices

burger king: just came out with the grilled chicken whopper, tell them not to add the mayo and u have a big hunk of chicken, lettuce, tomato, and a white bread taht is the only bad part

im on maintenance right now and when i go out at night one of these is what i usually have for my meals at night, i dont considetr them cheats as they seem just as good as wheat bread and some chicken, waht do u guys think of them?

I used to always get the BK broiler, but then those bastards at MY Burger King up'd the price when it became the chicken whooper. -Same sandwich, more $ I get mine from McDonalds now. It's called the McGrill and that sauce they use on it is great!
