EFAs

We all know that EFAs are great supp
we can find omega 3s in :
either some vegetable oils (flax, canola, borage,...)
or fish oils

which one is the best ?

If you buy oil in softgels (I can't buy liquid) does the process (to make the softgels) destroy the EFAs ?

Tonio:confused:

Flex Novemver 2000:

Flaxseed oil is an excellent source of the omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (an EFA).

You ought to try Udo's Choice for getting your EFA's. It has a total blend of omega 3's, flax, mct's etc. you can get at netrition.com

I like Udo's choice

it's a nice blend...Tastes fine straight, but I put it in my shakes.

follow ENRAGE advice...Udo's choice is the best on the market!! every diet guru/expert agree on this one, they ALL advocate Udo's essentiel blend.

Udo's choice is a little expensive for me. I use Health From The Sun Omega 3 Flax oil. It is a good source of omega's 3, 6, and 9 and is only $17.70 for 48 ounces at dpsnutrition. Tastes pretty good too.

super polyunsaturates are weak uncouplers of oxidative phosphoralation-

- they increase your metabolic rate

UDO's is good if it is your only source of fat

the american diet, typically has lots of omega -6

so the addition of flax oil is usually sufficient

I'm using MQ's flaxseed oil now, I think I read somewhere on this board that efa's cannot convert to bodyfat? Anybody know this for sure?
