Does blasting the a/c in my car really burn more gas?

At in-town speeds, the AC will eat gas. On the highway there's potential for the open windows to creat an adverse aerodynamic condition that would be worse.

BUT, my car has a MPG meter on its nag screen, and even at 70 on the crosstown expressway I'm better off with the AC off and a window open.

I would pay $40/week if it meant I could drive comfortably during the hot summer while other morons sweat. Somehow I doubt it's that high.

Some things in life I do not get cheap on. Food, Sex, Comfort. (tho I do get cheap with my women, but that's another thread!)

trading in a truck right now is not a good idea.

2009 model trucks are going for as low as 9K here. a used, trade in isn't going to be worth shit.
