Shot 1.5ml Fina + 1ml Sust in right glute about 48 hours ago.
Injection went fine, no pain at all, nothing special.
A day after, I started having some really bad pain at the injection site.
Now 48 hours after the pain is really intense, there's swelling and redness.
I've done like houndreds of inj before. Never had such pain after injection like
this one.
What should I do? Try a specific antibiotic maybe and if it doesn't go away go
see a doc? wait? wtf?

Massage it with a hot washcloth to help disperse the oil.Do this until you go to bed.
And keep a check on it, if its not better in a few days see a DR.

Id see a Doc, infections deep IM arent to be played with.......staph can kill. If you see any red lines moving away from the site, see a doc immediatly.
Intense pain, redness and swelling and hot injection site are all signs of infection.

You probably got it from the fina. Bake your fina to help kill the bacteria that will help you not get infections in the first place. I would do what Radar says and also try a heating pad for 30 minutes at a time. You will probably be fine waiting it out but if it gets to bad you will need to see a doctor or take an antibiotic. I personally use cow antibiotics when I get sick with anything but I am a farm boy from way back so that is just how I was brought up. I don’t recommend it to anyone. Tastes nasty but cheap as hell. Can really fuck you up too.

So maybe just in case, I should start taking antibiotics? i guess it can't really hurt and it's better to start now? I can't message my glute cause i'm in my job most of the day, so it's a bit of a problem.. can only do it at night.

I had that happen after a smooth injection as well. I put Bengay on it, and a topical antibiotic, and it went away the next day, which makes me think that it wasnt really a bacterial infection. If it continues to increase in pain, I would definately see a doc. You are right though, he is just more than likely going to put you on some anti-biotics like doxycycline or something. They do not really hurt you if you have any, except I think that they make you a little bit sun-sensitive. You probably know this more than I. Anywhoo, ya ... if its not getting any better, its only gonna get worse til you treat it. Was your fina homebrew?

Right...pain, redness, swelling, and hot skin at the site can all be signs of infection. Draw a line in pen around the redness...that way you can track it to see whether it is spreading and how fast its spreading. If it spreads you need to see a doctor. I wouldnt go on just any antibiotics you have laying around. You need to take a full course of antibiotics prescribed by a physician. You definitely dont want to self medicate for this.

I just checked and the pain and redness is not just at the site of injection but rather some good inches away from it. It's not just a bump or something, it's radius is rather large, and it was just 2.5ml. I'm pretty sure it's a fuckin infection. I guess warm massage just won't cut it.

Do you think a regular family doctor is good enough?

Is he going to make some blood tests or something? These 'general' doctors practice and knowledge is a joke most of the time. If he's just going to take a look at it, I'll just post a pic of it and get opinions on it from a doc here. Unless of course a physical or blood test examination is required.

Mavy, my fina wasn't homebrewed, it was UG lab. And I'm sick when it comes to sterility, but something went wrong this time I guess. Mavy was your pain and redness radius extended beyond the injection site? I feel the pain even in my internal upper gluteus while I always show the outside upper corner. What topical antibiotic did you use?

It might be a sterile abcess....I got one about a year ago from proline test e. It took about 7 days to go away (maybe more) it was hard as a rock and swollen red.

If you start to get a fever it might be an infection. other than that I'd just put hot compresses on it and massage it. sleep with a heading pad on it. It will help loosen it up and disperse the hard tissue.
