Watching part of it now. Up to the part where the singers are standing on top of the earth and the people are running along it's sides.

The part where the moving boxes were performing was amazing.

I tivo'ed it and watched it this morning. Incredible, to say the least. The London group for 2012 probably just ripped up their entire plans and went back to the drawing boards.

Almost demonstrates the awesome, frightening power of the hive mind of the Chinese.

And the money they have. That firework display at the end was the biggest in the history of the world and the cost goes in to $10's of millions of dollars. Personally I would have prefered for them to actually have spent that money on a more worthwhile cause.

A good thing is that how they have improved their air quality among many other things.

i saw a good amount of it and it was amazing. by far the best opening ceremony that i can remember. they went balls out times 100.
