Closing in on the big 4-0 ...

Now that I am knocking like hell on 40, its getting a little harder to lose weight and stay lean. Thinking about some GH. looking for info on dosages, frequency, length of use. Also, what to expect from using, both the good and bad.

HGH is better suited to older athletes overall as our natural production wanes so badly as we age and therfore introduction of an exogenous supply can have many benefits. The dose depends a lot on your goals but typically 2-4iu's is great for fat loss and general benefits whereas 4-10iu's gets you into the hyperplasia stages. 4-6iu's gives you benefits of both to a degree but keeping dosing at a more "sensible" level and negating a lot of potential sides. Little point in running HGH anything less than 6 months to see complete benefit from it. I used to stay away from HGH due to the high costs but seeing it now at around now at less than a dollar an IU makes it viable again.

Thanks for the info. I am really only looking to use it to help with fat loss so the lower dose will work for me. You say run it at least 6 months but what would be the longest to run it or can I simply stay on? How good is HGH with fat loss, I mean is it going to be worth it $$$ wise? Also, what are some of the other benefits I can expect as well as some of the sides.

Anyone with any info please post-up. Looking to start this as soon as I get all the info I need.

Conceivably at a lower dose you can run HGH for as long as you wish and shouldn't suffer any negative side effects although their is no definitive research as of yet to support this. Many anti-aging clinics have clients now that have been on HGH for several years and show no signs of sides or damage to the pituitary when they come off of long runs with HGH so seemingly ED injects of a low dose for years has no ill effect. Sides associated with HGH mainly come from higher dosing schedules but can affect an individual differently so even at a low dose of 3-4 iu's if you experience things like bloating and joint pain or numbness look to scale back your dose 20-25% and generally sides should disappear. At 2-3 iu's sides are rarely experienced as your basically only slightly above what is considered a full replacement endogenous dose which is somewhere in the vicinty of 1.5-2iu's.

As to fat loss specifically HGH is excellent. Is it worth the money solely for fat loss, probably not but as I mentioned previously that is changing somewhat with the reduced prices around these days for quality HGH. One of the biggest deterrents to me previously for HGH was the high costs coupled with varingly different quality to outright fakes. Things have improved in this regard of late. You mentioned your almost 40 though and this is an optimum time to look into HGH supplmentation though as our natural production is starting to drop off considerably as we pass 30. Supplementating with HGH now will improve skin texture, raise libido levels, improve overall physical and mental well being and drastically improve sleep. There are other benefits linked indirectly also to HGH use like improving protein synthesis and raising IGF levels which are more attractive when running a cycle but HGH is well worth considering for anyone over 30 IMO.

Thanks for all the info. Started another thread about this earlier. Not a lot of input from others must not be too many using this...assume its because of the $$$

Yeah sorry for my late response but I don't get on EF much these days unfortunately. Where's "goin on 40" though? He's usually a good contributor to threads in realtion to HGH and IGF. I tend to agree with his points of view most of the time as very similar to mine. He not around anymore?

A dollar per IU would/should eliminate most reasons not to give it a shot. It certainly would for me.
