cardio and heavy lifting combined?

First off, I'm an easy gainer.. I gain muscle fast.. I also gain fat just as fast,

I was wondering if doing moderate cardio mornings (5:00am) for the whole week (excluding Sunday, my off day)and then lifting heavy three days a week at night (or maybe right after the cardio) would be over training?

I eat 6 meals a day and supplement with Udo's twice a day (morning and night) I also just started taking PureCEE and I drink 1.5 gallons of water a day + vitamins..

anyone tried something similar?

Wow. I didnt realize cardio could add to overtraining. I thought overtraining was just a syndrome of too much lifting. I ran 15 miles last week and lift 3-4 days a week. I dont use a multi vitamin or any other supp.

31. Mostly stationary bike/elliptical/treadmill for about 30-40 minutes moderate intensity

how old are you and what kinda cardio are you talking about? walking? running?

I'm mostly concerned about too much cardio robbing me of lean muscle growth..

I suppose if I eat enough, I'll be fine :) it's just getting those good calories that can be tough!

unlikely that would be overtraining, though if training at 5 am sleep might be getting shorted.

btw- opinion on the PureCEE? always looking for feedback

I love it, I started doing that about 4 months ago and I havent seen anything but strength increases and a better more energetic feeling throughout my day. I run, stretch and do abs in the mornings around 10:00 and then lift around 7:00 at night and I feel great and never exausted or anything while im lifting and I lift for mass and strength, I would recomend it to anyone who had a schedule to let them do so.

I dont know if this is true, but someone told me the other day that anything over 1 mile, you start to burn a lot more muscle. Personally I dont need to do a lot of fat burning so I only do about 15 min. of light cardio in the morning. I also am lifting for bulk, and some people tell me not to even do those 15 minutes. I Really think its more of a diet issue than anything. But as long as you keep the cardio at a low to moderate intensity, I think you should be fine.

I lift at 5 am and then follow up (2-3 days) with 10-20 minutes of cardio on the stationary bike. I ride like heck, so it just about kills me. I play racquetball one night a week and full court bball on Saturdays. I don't think you'll have a problem with the cardio.
BTW - thanx for the info on CEE.
