well I'm none of the above lol... but figured I'd come and drop ya my .02 cents anyways ;)

I think you can def tell that you have some nice muscle there, thats obvious... and with cutting its gonna be even more defined (areas like the ham/ glute tie in and abs, etc) I went back and looked at some of your pics and know you are gonna look great... because if you click on the links and check some of aprils pictures (where it looks to be about the same place you are at now) then the changes in the May pictures and what you did in that few short weeks time is amazing! So I'm sure you will without a doubt be able to do it again this time around :rose:

I have this fear I am going to lose my shoudler caps & size with intense cutting (i.e. 4 weeks out with hour cardio AM/PM with minimal cals), which is why I'd rather go hard now (and eat for my activity level, not touch that yet) so in 5-6 weeks I can make adjustments & tweak what is lacking, not the other way around and be trying to make a deadline or waiting until the last minute ... I cannot tell you how much I do not LIKE that.


oi. maintaining mass while cutting hard is risky. this is the part of doing a contest that scares me. Everything has to be timed right, done right, etc or a body risks screwing it all up. lolol. are you relying on getting all your help here, or have you hired a trainer for the show? everyone here is on the same page, so you know the advice is solid, yet on the other hand - it would be great to have someone around "in person" who can see your body and be there. the bad about that is you get a trainer who doesn't share the philosophy of this board when it comes to contest prep/dieting/training - so you have to decide who's advice to follow....


I'm not helping. lolol sorry. :D my honest opinion is that The Shadow and Sassy will be able to steer you through it (and in the right direction) no matter what - so if they're willing to help you, I'd drain their brains all the way up till contest. :evil:

My thoughts on a trainer ... It would be nice to have someone face to face yes.... but then again, the only thing I really need help with is face to face posing instruction. I'll just say at this time I am comfortable with my decision not to hire one.

As always, I am grateful & appreciate any feedback from anyone willing to help.

Hmpf!! Well having an "in person" trainer is HIGHLY overrated IMO - I've had 2!! Looking good Buns!!

Buns - it's sort of hard to critique someone's physique when prepping for a show as you never know what to expect & what the judges want when you get there.....*sigh* You know how to cut & looked awesome doing it......do the best YOU can & get critiqued to figure out what to work on for next time.....is this a NPC show??

My training & food intake were different hun. I'm going to wash my face & lay down, hoping to fall asleep.

I am going to start whightening my teeth in the evening when I get these cravings so I cannot eat or drink for at least an hour after (besides water). Hopefully that will get me into a routine.

Good News : the lady I needed to see for the yoga/pilates was at the gym tonight with some group in one of the 'conference' rooms, then when the meeting was up, ran into her on my way out. I'm calling her Monday to set 2-3 days a week up. This should cost a pretty penny , lol , but heck I need it and WANT to do it. Maybe ease my brain a bit and def. help with core work & conditioning.

Critique wise - honestly there's precious little you can do to make significant shape change in 2 months and I don't think you really need to "work on" anything. I'd always keep pounding on the calves just because they just take forever to change. But mostly diet. For you the challenge may be trying to come in just lean enough, not too lean but I don't know -you've added a lot of muscle so your body is different this time around. Just keep on the diet & you'd rather be ready earlier than later.

As far as teh girls being slim in the Jr Nats competition, two things to keep in mind - these girls had to qualify to even compete in that show so its definitely a national level show. Also a huge percentage of girls who do figure are not coming from a real big muscle-type background - there are lots of girls who are just naturally lean or the tall skinny ones who probably ran a cycle to beef up a little and let it go at that. Oh yea, also there's probably only a small % of girls there who are all natural anyway.
 
Agree with Sassy....keep on keepin on and hit calves a bit harder than usual...thats it

Flor - thanks girl :) :rose: I am NEVER over confident, in my experience that only leads to trouble. Nerves keep me on my toes and focused on the goal, however temporary it may be.

Twinny - I'll know for sure if a few days on the suits, working out some details right now.

I'm 9 weeks out & look pretty lean today. My pics this week should be showing some definite Upper body defintion (I haven't taken off the sweats today to assess lower body:))

To add to that, last night I picked up some D-Root are starting taking low end dose. I am trying a little experiment keeping in mind how my body reacted to the supp back when it was added during the B.P. (Bunny Project ala Shadow). I ran it @ full dose back then with NO complications. So I'm going to give it a week to see if I even react to it.

I am already leaning out without the D-root, we'll see if it does anything this early in the game so I can either cycle off & add back in later .. blah blah blah ...

Not sure HOW I am going to structure my last few weeks of diet. A few options I am considering, if any... playing it by ear.

My water intake is about 2 G's a day right now and I need to be very careful to pay attention to my kids. So far they are on their best behavior.

Opinions welcome.

I gots me some twins :) NOT what you're thinking ... the right kid is an obnoxious brat & acts up sometimes :D .. left one is the good kid lol :D

Normally I would get my BF updated tomorrow but I trained legs this morning & that MAY skew the results, SO I am going to try Wed. or Thursday depending on my girls hours.

OH I got a 7 am appt with the yoga/pilates Lady on Wed. AM ... woo hoo :elephant: .. .she's "got some great ideas" so I am just so stoked ... :D
 
I was entertaining the idea of doing the Ironman show in Dec in Chicago as well... that was my 'backup' show date but I didn't want to say anything until now since I may do both shows.

Per my log, my suits will be black with bling this time around. :) I will post pics when I get them & the details ...

I remember you taking dandilion root, what...three times a day? I started taking it abut the same time and I must say I love it. My water fluctuates so much from day to day and D root was a blessing. Kept me on an even, low-water-retaining keel.

Just keep drinking your usual 9,000 gallons of water a day and you'll be fine. ;)

Hey TSO, Yes previously I did, & I ran it for a long time, after while, I am SURE my body got 'use to' it do I ditched it.

I actually have not dropped any noticable water, I was dropping it fine without it. I also am not going to the bat-room any more than usual. The scale has bumped up so I am def. taking notes. :)

Today is def. a low day ... I talked to my best friend last night & I knew his wedding was coming up, we have BOTH been so dang busy .... for those that followed my log, he is the one going to Italy for two weeks for his honeymoon ...Well GUESS when his wedding is...

Yup the day of my show... I may as well be standing up on his side kinda thing so I am really kinda upset about it & not sure what I am going to do. (No time to explain why some people in both families would object to that but you get my drift) I need some time to think. Have a great weekend everyone if I'm not back right away. :rose:

I still have no idea why u are hating on your calves?
U didnt get a chance to see M's ex-girl but she had huge calves, butt etc... after she dieted down the calves did slim down quite a bit. Your's are nowhere even close (EMPHASIZING that) to her's and I'm sure the definition u desire will be there.

I don't expect everyone to re-post comments back & forth, no worries, once is fine, none is fine, help or thoughts always welcomed.

Had some specific questions answered about the way they will do the comp... each show I've been to has been different... good the check ahead IMO.

* it will be 2pc in am and 1 pc in pm
* judged in am as round 1 and in pm as round 2
* We do this because otherwise its repeating them both twice and with over 100 competitors in the entire show.. as it is now even starting at 7 pm sharp it still lasts till 10 45 pm or so
* In both am and pm ea. woman is called out individually
* you walk to 3 different spots on stage, doing a turn and a little stance or pose
* after you hit all 3 you take a place in a line that is forming
* when all women in your class do that and the line up is full then you come up to the front in a line and do quarter turns as a group

It's like two weeks after Thanksgiving .. last year, I sat and watched my family eat, then an hour later, heated up my chicken & veggies & ate alone. I am NOT going to do that again. Chicago weather is whack anyway, one day there will be snow the next sunny & all melted. We'll see.

That is probably the biggest issue w/ competitions late in the season - gets so close to the holidays that it becomes impossible to stay focused.

Winter up north - I'm used to a snow storm on Thanksgiving and spent several Halloweens trudging through the neighborhood in whatever costume would fit over a snow suit. Blah. Fuck that. I prefer wearing nothing but paint & a smile in Key West at Fantasy Fest :)

It snowed here once - for almost 2 whole hours - it was miserable. Thank god it couldn't stick to the ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It also rains here like 40 days a year - they are spread out evenly throughout the year, but still......lol

Come to Texas Bunny - it's calling you.............maybe there is a show down south!

hell nah ... sbt kinda helped me decide that is a place I will never move, plus since I cannot stand HEAT or be in the sun :) I would never leave the house/gym ... :nerd:

Hey girl. There is no info up on the ironman Chicago In Dec (the 9th) I think but that is a possibility. I'll probably GO if I don't compete though.

My daughter had 2 boyfriends form Texas (not at the same time). She visited them in the summer & told me the heat was barely tolerable.

My daughter had 2 boyfriends form Texas (not at the same time). She visited them in the summer & told me the heat was barely tolerable.


Well - I guess if you spent all your time outside it could be a bit much. We do have A/C!

You know what they say..........EVERYTHING is bigger in Texas! :p
