really? they would already come to me? how would they know my name? or my company? especially when there's hundreds of other's out there? if you're a small independent business...do you really have the advertising reserves to compete with a big name company? even then, it's not worth the money spent.Do you spend countless dollars on garbage advertising that brings a pour return on investment?
for the record, i have a great presentation including a direct mail piece i send out first...which is why people are hardly ever rude to me. I just call people and have conversations with them. The only people that are on my calling lists for either me or my junior brokers are people who NEED help in the very near future. They have to do something or else they're fucked.
path of least resistance....i'm talking about people. People(clients) will take the path of least resistance. it's very convenient to them if you sound good on the phone, and you have something they want. LMAO...again, you have no entrepeneurial skill if you think business can be attained without constant rejeciton. Even if you're paying someone to bring you leads or referrals, there will always be that factor.
btw, i can sleep very well at night when i'm making more money than 99% of people my age and lots of people older than me..and the fact that almost every single person i've ever done business with has had a genuine need for my service and i was able to better their lives. i can call almost any of my clients at anytime and talk to them like an old high school buddy...
it's prospecting....and you need to do it any business. fuck, you even need to do it with the wimminz. i.e. find out who's available, who's interested in what you have to offer, and who's the right fit.
the other thing i noticed is that there's always the automatic association with being unethical ? Give me a break. not everyone does business that way.it's not about forcing someone into buying something. it's about finding out who in the market for your service.. you can be genuine and convincing on the phone without being a scumbag. all you have to do sometimes is ask a question that makes a person really think about something.
