anyone still using HMB...? Betagen...?

I've been using this stuff for a number of years, and was wondering if there were any new clinicals put out to prove or disprove the validity of this stuff...

honestly, i still use it, as it makes the protien shakes taste better, and has a few grams of creatine in it as well...

am i wasting my money, has HMB been debunked or is it still worth taking...?
 
De-bunked many, many moons ago.

Actually, I believe there was one study done on UNTRAINED athletes and a very high dose. Amazingly enough, gains were made. Go figure. :rolleyes:
 
i feel more pumped at rest when I'm taking hmb at label dose. and when dieting I dont feel as flat. placebo? maybe, but I'll keep using it.
 
well, i've been reading some other clinicals, and it seems that at the very least the HMB will help the body preserve muscle tissue, and help boost the immune system...

and MAY actually help in recovery and adding muscle mass...
