Any ideas for bulking on a 6$ a day budget?

I like the buying in bulk idea. I have a sam's club membership which has a lot of bulk items a very decent price. There are lot's of similar places that don't require memberships also. Another thing that can help is when you buy polutry, buy the whole bird (this is actually a tip for low-income families lol). You can buy a whole chicken or turkey and end up spending a LOT less per serving. Most groc stores have the cost per unit (like cents per ounce) labeled now, so comparison shop. Store brands are almost always cheaper. Stuff like eggs are a good choice for the dollar. You can usually buy lean meats (like ground sirlion) that are at the "sell buy" date for usually 15-50% off. If you buy these, just cook or freeze them shortly. Protein powder is usually cheapest on the web. Fast food is rarely a good buy, even when they have specials.

ThanX Fallen! I have a Sam's Club membership also. I recently moved, so not sure where the closest one is. I plan to start shopping at BJ's ,another warehouse by my house. Until then Ill most likely shop at the grocery stores, buffets and fast food locations haha. The Whole chicken idea is a good one also. Anyone know how much protein is in one of those Whole roasted chickens they sell at publix or winn-dixie? ThanX again Fallen

$6 x 30 days is $180/mo. That's quite a nice grocery budget for one person. Why are you just drinking milk and eating burgers? Are you without a fridge and stove?

Hey Makedah :D I have a fridge and stove just hate to cook! haha If I were to buy food in bulk again and cook it, Im sure Id be able to eat better. Was just looking for some easy alternatives :FRlol: ThanX again

Go eat at places and complain and complain to supermarkets in writing about things, you could well end up with free food and vouchers for more free food.

Nothing worth anything is easy...

I would say to invest in a bucket of whey isolate (5 pounds= $40-45)

If you have a membershipt to Costco or Sam's Club or know someone who does... buy the crates of 60 eggs... I usually buy two crates every 10 or so days (30 dollars)

Brown Rice (very cheap when purchased in bulk) 10 bucks for the month.

Oatmeal... buy the off name brand (2 pounds for $3.00)

Ground Beef 12 pounds= $30
Chicken 20 pounds= $40

There is a 161 dollars right there... Leaves you 19 dollars for some other crap.. like milk, and broccoli or Romaine Lettuce.
