squats!
 
13 plates each side on the leg press. 4 plates easily on the bench for reps. I don't bench heavy anymore because of my injury. 6 plates on the squat and deadlift.

I'll definitely get the deads by the end of spring, bench will take more time.

Well - I couldn't do it now. It was last year during powerlifting. I weigh around 119 now and haven't been lifting like that lately or aspiring too. Trying out a smaller me. :)

I did have 11 plates on either side of leg press back when I weighed around 150 at 10%....frightening!! I think I pressed it 8 times. I think during that time when I was also doing 60lb DB shoulder presses, 215lbs on the close grip pull down and tearing all my tendons and body apart, LOL...

Those were some crazy times!

Damn Girlfriend!! You were one strong chick! Did you go all the way down on that leg press or just partial? 60 lb db presses is good for most guys and also I haven't seen very many guys that do over 200 on close grip pulldowns. Great job! But, it's probably best you backed off on that. :)

I was strong then and it is best I moved away from that. Took my body about 2 years to normalize because I don't think 'my body' knew what weight it was supposed to be, LOL!

Leg press were all the way down yes. I'm a close stance so its was knees to the chest. I had to have someone help me 'set' the dumbbells to my shoulders as I kicked them up from the knee, but I did them all - 3 sets of 10. I was kind of a jacked up freakster back then. Most people still thought I looked feminine, but really it was nearing that edge. I really had lifted heavy weights for a long time religiously so I imagine muscle maturity was a factor.

You truly can keep that strength without gear if you choose to. It just depends on your dedication, training and nutrition I think.

Awesome. I'd like to have a gf that strong and pretty. I've never seen a female come close to that kind of strength. Not in person anyway. There was one, a blond girl that worked out at Bally's in Red Bird in Dallas. She was about 175-180 lbs and she looked awesome.

Deads - yes
Squats - are for pussies......j/k - yes

I was benching 3 plates for reps at age 18, now at 19 I hit 4 plates for 1 of the most un-coordinated rep you will evre see lol, but I still count it.

Deads I never go more than 5plates, I alternated 1 week on smith maching and one week normal straight bar off the floor.

Squats, Probably my worst lift as I only do 4plates which is what I bench :(, bad knees.

All my lifts are raw, no belt or straps.

squats and deads.

Never hit more than 290 on bench..i got long ass monkey arms and its makes flat bench a major bitch. I stick to incline presses now.

yeah. actually, i started like you. but i also started pausing at the bottom of each rep, just for a second or two. this transfered up to my max weights. i see fellas with 5 plates on their backs and they have ROM's of like 5''. i get more of a response with 3 plates, going down until it looks like my knees are in my armpits.

Pretty impressive, do you use knee straps at all?

Personally for me it feels a bit better to go just below parallel, everyone has different methods but that works for me and I never lockout at the top.

nah. i don't use any equipment. i might break out the straps for my heaviest sets of shrugs or db rows or even for pin pulls, but the only thing i really ever use is a belt. i feel that the tightness is important. i'm a pretty lanky guy, too. 6'3'' with a pretty big reach, like 74''.

a shame too as Palmeiro most likely didn't need much juice to maintain his level of production
Bonds on the other hand,while likely much the same as Palmeiro,over did it

I see too many clowns putting on too much weight with short ROM's and bad form to boot. I used to try to help 'em out, but you know, these types always know EVERYTHING. :rolleyes: I've always gone deep on squats, I was taught good form from day one by my lifting coach in HS but I'm really liking going ass to ankles. The extra ROM burns like a mofo but it's ohh so good!

btw, I use a belt after the warm up set but only knee wraps once I hit 3+ plates.

Squats and deads I still can, but can't bench more than ~335 or so. Different goals now

Bench no.

I doubt I ever will on bench, even if I could I don't think i'd go that high out of fear of getting hurt being out of it...... yeah i'm full of shit

I like to watch the young one try TOO much on bench, but it's okay, they have thier three buddies there to pull it off of them.

I love small town gym for no one goes. But those that do don't know shit

I have done bent rows with 4 plates, deadlifted 5 plates, squatted 5 plates for sets of 10-12, bench pressed 4 plates, and done tricep kickbacks with 4 plates (just seeing if you were paying attention Stick)

I love it when people tell stories about something "their friend" or "some guy at the gym" did, when really it was them and everyone knows it
 
I went from shrugging 5 pound db's after my shoulder surgeries, to DL'ing 565 pounds in two years. Rehabbing can be a very humbling experience. My squat still sucks. I stick with hack squats now days. My heavy benching days are long gone. I don't need anymore shoulder injuries.

Stick, I know you are strong from what you wrote, but to be honest 1000 lbs on a leg press machine is not really that hard (say ~22 plates x 45lb). The weight on a leg press, is really is not a linear curve, so this 300# leg press kid was really not strong. Now if his leg collapsed and the weight came towards him...OUCH!!!

I didn't say he was strong, he was a twig but when his right knee collapsed he realized I was actually trying to help and wasn't just being a dick.
