Sucks, I found a lump under my right nipple about 4 months ago had it checked out and conclusion is gyno. My doc said he can remove tissue, but not guaranteed to look perfect. Any suggestions of what I could try before surgery?? And if I were to try a cycle in the future would I be very likely to have gyno side effects due to the fact that Im already having issues with it.

Stats:
6’2” 192lbs bf ?? not sure exactly but have six pack
workout 3 days a week w/cardio

did they ultrasound it to determine the makup of the tissue (i.e. fatty or endocrine)?

what does your doc think bout non surgical options? i know there are dugs which inhibit aromatase (converts test into oestradiol) but i dont know about their saftey or how useful they are in established gyno, i think the only wok in preventing gyno...try asking your doc?

At first my physician sent me for a Mammogram, which the surgeon I later talked to said that was ridiculous. So I don’t believe that is the same as ultra sound they just concluded it wasn’t cancer. He mentioned hormonal treatments but said someone my age he would hate to mess with my hormones. So not sure what to do, but I have noticed lately that I have lest muscle twitch it that side. When I flex my pecks they normally jump, and in the mirror now it is very visible that the one with the lump doesn’t move nearly as much. Not sure if it just looks that way do to the fatty tissue? I didn’t mention that to Dr. cause I just started noticing that. Any other thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

You need to see an endocrinologist first. He will draw blood and make sure everything is ok and it just developed from puberty or whatever. Then, go see a plastic surgeon for a surgical consult. Dont let anybody tell you otherwise about a plastic surgeon vs. a general surgeon. The general surgeons will leave you with a scar. It all depends on how bad your case is for what your results will be. I had an extremely bad case and had the whole gland removed from both sides. You cant even tell to this day I had anything done, and with no gland anymore that means no more chance for gyno. Yes my insurance did pay for it as well.

lataimer right on, they will do the ultrasound as well, just to make sure what constitutes the gyno (if it is true guyno it will be secretory cells, if it isn;t it will be fatty, or possibly both)

just as a note, its a pretty big op....i got a post ophaematoma when i had mine, and th recovery went to just over 2 months, and full recover in 3-4. normally its 4-6 weeks, but I've never got back the performance i had in the gym prior (or the raw size as i had post-op catabolism)

While i'm happy i had it and my lie hasn;t been better, it really hit my performance as a martial artist and a weightlifter in a big way. All my ifts are back where they were APART from the pressing ones, due to this injury restricting my ability to lift. im close to where i was, but considering i had it about 3/4 of a year ago, it shows how big a bastard this thing was

It definately is not a fun procedure if you have a bad case. I was in the hospital for 3 days, I think mostly because I was personal friends with my plastic surgeon and he worked it out that way. Better drugs avail in the hospital as well. The binder I wore for 3 weeks was the worst, well second worst to having the drains pulled out of each side of my chest.

How did you convince your insurance to pay for it? I can't see any reason for an insurance company to cover an operation like that. Hell, I've been told by my insurance company that unless it's something fatal, they won't even give it a second look.

I think I ended up pretty lucky its been a couple of months now and its all but gone away, Im glad I didnt rush into anything.

when i was 17 i had gyno surgery, i had never done roids before then nor have i ever done any since then. I always had puffy (chubby kid) nipples, started drinking and smoking weed at the age of 12 and doc sqaid this could have exagerated the gyno... when i was 16/17 i started working out and getting leaner and so the nipples were more noticable... i can only suggest getting the surgery, i have never regretted it for a second, and it wasnt painfull or anything, simple surgery, simple recovery.

do it.
