1 inch needle big enough for ass shot?

Yes, you can draw with a 25 g but it takes forever, I used to do it all the time. I wouldn't go any lower than a 21g for drawing. 18g eat the stopper up, in fact numerous times I've had little grey rubber floaties in my vial because the 18g'er took a chunk out as it was going in. If your consistently drawing with an 18g you might suck that or those pieces of rubber in and the worst that could happen is you'll inject that into yourself which is unlikely if your switching down smaller and most likely you'll plug your syringe halfway through your shot. For those using an 18g, check your vials carefully and I'll bet you find a little rubber floatie in there. If you don't know to look for it you won't see it.

You;'ll never be able to draw qith a 25 and you should never use the same needle to draw and inject anyway.

I've drawn and shot w/ the same needle many times and never noticed a differance.

It dulls the needle which can lead to scar tissue formation, and also increases the risk for infection/abscess. It doesn't take much time to draw with a 21ga, and switch it for a 23 or 25.

I do switch but there have been times when I've drawn and shot w/ the same needle.
It might dull it but not enough where you're going to notice it.
I don't see how it would increase the risk of infection as long as the stopper is swabbed before hand.

If you have a microscope available, look at the needle tip after pushing it through a rubber stopper and you won't draw and shoot with the same needle again. Looks like a barbed spike. Ouch. I used to do it back in my beginner cycling days too, but never again.

1.5" is better, but 1" could work, depends on how big your ass is. Lots of muscle and lean and you should have no problems.

I've heard that, but again you have to look at it under a microscope to notice the damage.
Pain wise I could never tell a differance.

BD, it's a brand, Bectin/Dickinson, good products, most DR's use them, may be because they have reps that call on them, the others may not.
Good to find out what other brands of pins people prefer, Excell, Turumo?

I switch back and forth between BD and Turumo.
Never can tell a differance between the two.

The theroy in the medical field is it "dulls" the needle and makes it a more painful shot. I call bullshit on that theory.
