Just because you got screwed doesn't mean the LAW won't screw you again. You didn't really think you had rights did you?

Silly me, yea I did actually did buy that whole "Truth, Justice and The American Way" BULLSHIT that my parents brought me up with. As a matter of fact my parents bought it so badly that they left their *evil nasty* homeland to come to the United States so that their children could have better.

Well in ONE GENERATION my parent's children figured it out beyond the shadow of a doubt. My sister moved her family BACK TO MY PARENT'S NASTY EVIL HOMELAND from the US 2 years ago and has NO INTENTION of EVER RETURNING.

My children know better than anyone on this board that they have even LESS rights so ya'll can spare me the whole "it sucks that a landlord won't let me pay him MY MONEY because of how I look" or "it sucks that someone didn't hire me because of how I look." Until your kid has been FUCKED like my kids have - save your breath. It makes you look foolish.

Right or wrong? Does it matter? They didn't want you there. Why would YOU WANT to be there? Oh yea, I forgot about the whole "the law says I can sue you if you don't want me there so I can get rich." <--- doesn't apply to everyone, just to those who have voiced that opinion in the past.

Racism is alive and well in the south. It makes my skin crawl. Anyone want to debate me - save your breath. I see it/hear it every damned day. I am one person and I DO make a difference by judging people based on the content of their character and not by the color of their skin. Will this get me into heaven faster? FUCK NO. It benefits ME actually because I don't limit myself based on ignorance and stupidity.

But the law can kiss my ass if it thinks it's going to tell me who I can/can't hire or who I can/can't rent to.

I suppose to a certain extent you are correct. I DO discriminate based on someone's appearance. WE ALL DO. That is how nature designed us.

But there is a difference between deciding who to employ or rent to and the type of discrimination when it comes to physical safety.

I am walking down a somewhat deserted street. A little old lady is walking towards me - the color of her skin is irrelevant. I don't feel danger.

I am walking down the same street and a young man is walking towards me all blinged out with a sideways baseball cap and his pants hanging down around his ass. I will not only clutch my bag but I will cross to the other side of the street and walk faster as soon as I see him. I could care less if he is black, white or hispanic. He could be a good kid that is just dressed like his young friends. But I am not about to find out the hard way.

Sometimes I have trusted people that were just like me (on the outside) and they fucked me hard, wearing a smile while they were doing it - same gender, etc.

Sometimes circumstances forced me to trust people that were NOTHING like me and who could have done a great deal of physical harm. Not only did they not harm me, but some were quite attentive and generous.

As a woman I will ALWAYS be < a man, whether he is black, jewish, gay or a midget. He will always be able to take his hat off his head, take a crap in it and put it back onto his head. HE WILL STILL BE A MAN... so I don't want to hear about how "I just don't understand."

Anyone who thinks that *the law* has changed fuck-all clearly isn't privy to the regular conversations I am privy to on a daily basis.

Sorta like the white folk looking around first and then lowering their voices before telling some of the most gawd-awfull racist jokes it has even been my displeasure to hear... only you didn't NEED to look around first, or lower your voice before everyone yucked it up.

Women are the last group that it is STILL socially acceptable by nearly everyone to discriminate agaisnt/tell cruel jokes about that proliferate hatred/violence against/degrade, etc. The most ironic part about it is that EVERY MAN'S MOTHER WAS *JUST* A WOMAN.

So I don't want to hear SHIT from any man about discrimination regardless of his age, skin-color, socio-economic background, religious affiliation or sexual orientation.

I think one of THE SADDEST STATEMENTS about how alive and well racism in the good old US of A is is this joke. I hear it all the time:

"Well at least Obama AIN'T a woman."
