@Ori the cardio champFocused mostly on cardio today, on the rowing machine. Trying to get up to doing longer sessions on it, just did a few short ones today. First one was done as fasted cardio when I woke up, 10mins, and that’s the one I want to get the time up on the most.
Diet was ok, I kept calories down a bit and ate things like low carb collagen jelly + pudding because struggling with gut problems so am eating lite things.

great log going hereI’m currently down in the city for a couple of days, brought a little bit of equipment with me and got a small workout in.
Diet a bit all over the place being away from home. All in all I’m still pretty much on track anyway. Was 87kg on the scales this morning, down from 91kgs in late November. I think I’m ok with this speed of weight loss, going faster I’ll probably just lose muscle as well.
Also with the weight loss, for sure some of it is the Stenabolic, is helping to make the whole process much easier for me. Cardio is way easier and especially fasted cardio. I can’t rate Shogun Stenabolic from UGL OZ highly enough, is amazing and will be something I use going forward.
I have two things I’d like to get happening on this cycle, one is running, and the other is I think I may want to try and get a third day of lifting in. I’ve tried that before and had a lot of issues so stopped, want to try again though pretty soon.
Tomorrow I’m going to be driving home most likely, and with all the stuff I need to do I think I’ll probably miss my workout, was also one of the reasons I trained today instead when I usually rest.

@Ori down 5kgs thats perfect! stay strongI got a lot done today. Finally got the rest of the stuff for my blood glucose monitor yesterday and started using it this morning.
As expected, I woke up with high blood sugar.
View attachment 142432
Also, note how completely fu*#ed my hematocrit is, that is caused by me losing too much blood each day
Due to hematocrit being that low, I don’t think the high reading is even necessarily the MK677. Is possible that the high reading is 100% due to my low hematocrit from blood loss.
Also this low hematocrit is definitely contributing to me feeling low energy and crap all the time. Also dizzy etc, especially if I lift weights.
After the high reading I immediately did fasted cardio, 15mins on the rowing machine, reasonably high intensity at least for me anyway.

So the fasted cardio made a large difference, and was only 15mins. Hematocrit still low though as would be expected.
Next I tried eating some food with carbs, then waiting two hours for another reading. I ate 1 cup mixed berries with 160g high protein yogurt, a teaspoon of honey on it, a coffee with a tablespoon of thickened cream and a teaspoon of honey in it. Total carbs 18g. Reading two hours later

Stayed under pre-diabetes range. Hematocrit up a little since morning from iron supplements but still way too low. Next was another round on the rower for ten minutes as a warm up to lifting today. Then was straight into the weights for a couple hours.
Had some dinner after and am just sitting here posting this now.

Down about 5kgs now since late November.
I’ve added two supplements, Berberine and Cinnamon oil, to help manage blood sugar.what do you plan on changing after seeing these numbers?
I’m hoping to try a food experiment today as soon as supermarkets open, hopefully it works and I’ll have this fixed in a day or two.lets get the diet locked in for the back stretch here bro. This will be crucial to getting good results the rest the way
@Ori another good day for you I'm proud to read your efforts, going to prep some meals too tomorrowI spent the whole day catching up with basic stuff like shopping, making new recipes for this cycle and researching early this morning about my blood sugar.
I need to try and get to bed within the next hour to get up at 3am tomorrow. Haven’t trained today at all. Day just got away from me with all the chores that needed catching up on.
Have made three new recipes that should help lower my carbs for a while. I tried to make a protein mousse but I didn’t realise pasteurised egg whites don’t stiffen when you beat them, so I altered the recipe to make it into a pudding using gelatine. One serve has about 50g protein, 1g fat and 3g carbs. I also made a jelly out of collagen and BCAAs, one serving has about 19g protein, no fat and half a gram of carbs so basically none. Lastly I made a mix of chicken mince, beef mince and egg, one serve has about 40g protein, 32g fats and 2.3G carbs.
Those should help a bit and will be good for cutting. Mostly cost will be the issue sustaining it. With my trip on Sunday tomorrow, next training day is likely Monday. I’m still sore from Thursday.
Step counter isn’t accurate is just what my phone recorded carrying it, I almost never walk around with it.

@Ori we hope you are alright and get better soonJust putting in a quick update so no one gets worried if I don’t post for some days.
Long story short. I called a phone service and got assessed by a nurse, turns out my hematocrit/blood loss thing is an emergency now. Was hard to stop her from sending an ambulance to get me.
Someone is on their way to pick up my assistance dog and I, and go to the hospitalthat gave me the emergency appendectomy. I don’t really know what’s going to happen when I get there, maybe I’ll get the surgery to stop the blood loss faster who knows. May need either an iron infusion or a blood transfusion.
If I don’t post for a few days please don’t get worried, I’ll be back and will update when I can.

Ok so interesting update. I just had an appointment with my GP (doctor, is like saying MD in the USA I think). @Ori sounds serious maybe keep a life diet log and be careful with the trainingOk so interesting update. I just had an appointment with my GP (doctor, is like saying MD in the USA I think). Haemoglobin under 111 qualifies you for a blood transfusion, mine was 93, and I think in the past, it has been even lower than that.

The post I’ve self replied to, has a workout in it etc, I was doing that while I needed a blood transfusion. Explains why I’m so weak compared to what was normal for me. Basically my whole log here is me doing stuff while needing a blood transfusion, that’s how much blood I’m constantly losing.
I have probably about a week or so where I can get some training in and I’m going to start with that tomorrow.
I do need to back off the total volume and intensity with training for sure. Had a chat to my doctor yesterday about that, basically if I go slow and pace myself, stop if it starts feeling really wrong, I should be ok@Ori sounds serious maybe keep a life diet log and be careful with the training
For sure bro, even though hospitals here don’t give them often I’m pretty sure would still be used for surgery if things go wrong, and I do have multiple surgeries in the near future according to my gastro specialist.this is why donating blood is crucial to help people like Ori live a better life
@Ori the king of hardcore no matter what you will winToday I managed to get some training done. I also had a chat quickly again with my doctor, as I saw my hematocrit is still at around 18% since the infusion.
Apparently it takes weeks for it to take full effect especially when you get levels as low as I have. So as you can imagine I’m still feeling very weak in the gym. All I want to do is train though.
I needed to drop some sets from my program to make it through in the condition I’m in. Also the Barbell Row was replaced with Kettlebell supported rows is just the app needs me to input that exercise name and haven’t done it yet. Thank you Super Tired Wants Food for suggesting the supported rows, those worked way better for me, got the first proper back pump I’ve ever felt doing them
I’m also in the middle of trying some awesome new products and will be starting a new thread soon to review them
One last thing, given how hard this anaemia thing is becoming to deal with, and how much of a negative effect it’s having on my health goals, I’m about to just take unilateral action to manage it. I’ll need a month or so and if it works I’ll likely start a new recovery log based entirely around this therapy I’m going to try.

I miss kayaking, I used to go kayak fishing when I lived in Sydney. I have an inflatable stand up paddle board but haven’t used it yet, been meaning to get out on it when the weather gets better but summer is quite rainy this year so far. I think my dog would like the adventure of being on the stand up paddle board.rows are a great way to help balance your back you can even go kayaking or rowing out on the water
Yeah at the moment I’m struggling to manage the pseudo obstruction in addition to everything else, like the anemia. Yesterday was rough, really hard to get food in.I might have missed it but is the diet that way cos of the issue?
Cos I'd be smashing liver, organ meat and green veggies if I had any blood issues for the Iron etc
I may need to incorporate kettlebells in to change things up a bitToday I managed to get some training done. I also had a chat quickly again with my doctor, as I saw my hematocrit is still at around 18% since the infusion.

That’s actually why I sold my kayak and stopped doing it when I moved down here to South Australia, there aren’t the same sorts of safe places to do it here, sharks are really common and a very real risk.kayak fishing sounds really cool but be careful of sharks
In the past yeah, I needed a lot of help, had to do an elimination diet and so on, has been brutal learning how to manage the pseudo obstruction.are you working with a nutritionist that can dial in a diet for you
Me too bromonstro is looking forward to when you are a hundred percent healthy
