And so it begins anew.

Stats:
Sex: Male
Age: 26 (wow I feel so much older)
Height: 6'4"
Weight: Haven't weighed today, but I'm fluctuating between 255 and 260
BF% would be 20%ish.. sadly. I'll explain below.

Goals... well as you can see from my *cough* weight. I'm definitely wanting to trim up, but I still am looking to put on more muscle. I'm going to continue on a recomp and not go full cut. Even if I don't end up as low bodyfat as I'd like to be in the 12 weeks.. I don't want to lose any muscle. So in other terms.. I'm going to do a lean bulk. I want to be bigger and it just is going to take time with the weights. I had a weight in mind of 245 @ 10%. THat would be a goal of gaining about 10 pounds of muscle and losing 20 pounds of fat.

So a little past history from last years competition to now. Finished up the competition and continued rocking it to a little below 15% BF by July. I had put on another 5 if not 10 pounds of muscle getting my LBM to ~200. I'll post some pics of that. Up til September I kept pretty trim. Got married too! In vegas. As cheap as we could. A couple of family members were gracious enough to help fund our little honeymoon and we had a great time. I still hadn't found a job, we had to relocate several times last year. After September my health went to shit. Very stressed, no money, bad eating, I went up to about 245. By November my father-in-law was very nice to let us move in with him back in Idaho, and I was able to go to the gym again, and keep better track of diet and food intake.
At 245 I could barely fit in my 38 jeans.. and now at 260 I fit just fine in my 36's... except my thighs are hella tight. lol.

So since then, I've been eating very clean and working hard, and I need to get BF tested but I'm around 210 pounds LBM and 255-260. My arms are 17" flexed.. end of the comp last year they barely were 16" flexed. I wear a 50 long/tall dress suit. I was wearing a 46 tall end of the comp.. SO needless to say, I've grown. I hit the weights really hard.

I'm happy to announce that I FINALLY got a job. I was 'scouted' out at my gym two weeks ago by the owner of the entire franchise of gyms in the valley. He asked me if I was a professional football player, and if not, that I should work for him. ;) A week later I'm employed. It's a part time thing, and the pay isn't the greatest, but there is a lot of room for advancement and it's doing something I love. I live at the gym already, I might as well work there too. I'm also in the meantime working on building my own insurance business. Health, Life, Supplemental, Long-Term Care, Retirement Planning. That has lots of potential. Between the two, I think my finances will finally start turning toward the black again in a few years time. (if anyone wants to know how to make a great tax-free investment that grows average 7% yearly with no less than 1% ever, let me know)

I'm ready to have some FUN. I loved the motivation this created in my life last year, I loved the comraderie. We had a great time last year, I enjoyed all of my companions last year, and I hope they enjoyed me. I'm looking to build some fun friendships, continue learning the great sport of bodybuilding, and challenging myself beyond where I've ever imagined my physique to be.

As always, I'm 100% open to critiquing. I've only been weight lifting for a few years combined in my entire life.. and only the past two years has it been consistent. I'll get photos tonight. I'm going out of town from tomorrow til Monday, so not much will be updated during that time.

Today was my rest day, and I got a deep tissue massage, and it felt amazing. I did back yesterday.

I haven't set any exact macros for my diet yet. It will probably be 50/30/20 P/C/F on workout days, and P/F/C on rest days. I'll probably stay around 150g of carbs or less to start burning off some fat.

My workout splits look like this:
Day 1 - Chest and Bis
Day 2 - Back
Day 3 - Rest
Day 5 - Shoulders and Tris
Day 6 - Legs
Day 7 - Rest

I do fasted cardio every couple of mornings, and I'm going to start playing racquetball a couple times a week too.
 
HI Bader, what a year for you!! I remember following on last comp.. It's funny how everything goes crap for a while and then slowly but surely one by one things fall into place..
Sounds like everything is on the positve.. you made a huge difference in last years comp.. it's going to be good to watch you this year

Hey Rachel! Hehe.. yeah.. You told me to never go back to the 'before'. I hate to say it, but I'm kind of close.. lol. A bit more muscular, and my abs are almost showing, so not nearly as fatty and soft as before.. but I'm pretty big! ;) Thanks for the encouragement.. I'm going all the way this year til I hit 10%.. I'm going to keep growing til I can't grow no more.

Thanks GJ! I can't guarantee I'll be able to update every day.. my life has been pretty hectic. Running around with my head cutoff.. but I'll do my 100% as always. From all my learning experiences from last year, I feel this year will be more productive. I'm just happy to be part of it and have fun. I wish I could say I'm out for blood and want to get first place, but real life is more important and I get to put that in first priority. I love the motivation this creates though, so I know it will push me more.

Rachel, you can be my personal cheerleader anytime. ;) Give me a slap every now and then if I don't post.

As for AAS, I am brrroooke! No plans for cycles, or anything right now. I have some supps on hand.. green tea extract, krill oil, some GEAR, n2slin, and some others.. so when I figure out how to incorporate whatever I got, I'll post it up. I do have a couple of designer steroids available.. maybe I'll run one of those. Katanadrol, epi-strong, cyanostane.. I'll have to talk to a few peeps and see what they'd recommend.

Wow.. insane pump on the biceps. Those drag curls are MONEY. Great isolation.

For having a few days off this workout felt great, and strength hasn't dropped.

I wish I could feel a bigger pump on the chest. I know its working.. but I definitely feel my tris a lot on the presses. Declines get the most pumped feeling out of all of them.. Maybe next chest day I'll do a 10x10 @ 185 and go strictly for pump.

Thanks zed! Just started my new job today. It's more intense than I thought but also a lot more promising. It's going to be rough fitting in weights with my schedule though. Might be hit and miss for the next few weeks while I get adjusted.

Going to play racquetball and do back tonight. Ready to grow some wings.

there is this place right by my house that just started doing a burger challenge.... 6.5 lbs of burger plus all the trimmings.... That is my next challenge after this contest lol

yeah there's a few places here in Idaho that have been on Man vs. Food.. and I've always wanted to do them alllllll. I did the habanero pizza one.

So.. disappointed in my back workout.. just felt like I had no energy.. my numbers are about 20 pounds lighter than usual. I tried to fuel up as much as possible after work, but don't think I got enough carbs in me.

My lats felt hard and I could feel the definition come out in my back.. but I usually do one or two more workouts plus rackpulls or deadlifts.. but I just felt shitty and called it good.

Hopefully I can adjust to this. I wasn't expecting such long hours, so I'm not sure if it's worth the time investment vs. my insurance business. But I can't complain, money is money right now.

2/9/12 Legs and Shoulders...

Once again.. SHIT workout! Not that I had energy.. my training partner pulled his lower back on the first workout (I kept nagging him about keeping his back straight!#%), and I just dragged after that cause he couldn't keep up the intensity with me.. I felt like I had 5 more workouts in me, I'm going to hit arms tomorrow and add more shoulders, cause I know I didn't get everything out of em. As for legs.. well.. I don't really want to train my quads.. my legs are umm.. 30 freaking inches in circumference.. I don't want them bigger, I need to trim the fat off my monsterous quads. So I focuse more on glutes and hams and calves. I'll throw in quads every other week or so. But seriously.. I have to wear 38 jeans relaxed/super baggy fit JUST to get over my quads, even though I can easily wear a 36 waist. Damn viking hereditary.

My legs were actually sore today so I took the day off.

My wife is singin for a valentines day charity event. So I'll be eating medium rare prime rib in T-minus one hour. You're jealous, I know.

Amazing transformation!! I know how you feel wanting to stay in shape to please your spouse or fiancee in my case. He always tells me "Marriages are a contract, you have to hold up your end of the deal for me and I have to hold up my end for you." Great motivation though, she is beautiful and good luck with all your goals. I'll be checking in on how your doing!

You're right. I literally did work my arse off. Lol. I'll find the thread George put up for me winning third place. It has my stats and measurements.

Sadly I've got a lot more fat to lose. I come from very large genes. I'm an endomorph to the max. I put on fat just thinking about eating.

The diet was brutal but worked. Zed gave me a great workout schedule that really built me up overall. If anyone is having trouble thinking of a workout regime. PM zed immediately.

And I can relate to you fighting off something that should be inevitable it's a constant battle but makes us hella strong people for it!!

I just made a 14 oz sirloin, 3/4 cup of brown rice/quinoa mix, and a cup of broccoli my delicious bitch.

Also.. I'm weighing in just a hair above 250.. So gone down a few pounds from my 260 beginning of the month. Though I don't see much of a diff in the mirror just yet..

Oh, but I do love seeing my traps in the mirror when I'm working out.. I have to wear XL Tall shirts or they are wayyy too short if I lift up my arms you'd easily see my belly button. Lats are coming out nicely too. I'll get measurements.. I forgot to at the start but I don't think they'll be too much different yet.

With the cycle either do the tren 1-8 or bump up the test 1-12 give yourself like 2 weeks of just the test without the tren because it will make your recovery a hell of a lot easier. Also if you want to go super shred add some albuterol in there start at like 12mg/day and ramp up to 18-24mg/day and run for 6 weeks (no need to ramp down on the stuff). With all the other stuff you are doing there won't be an alliance ounce of fat on you and the albuterol helps your lipid profile as well (increase your hdl's and decrease you ldl's).

Good advice Letsgrow. I'll probably go to 9 weeks on the tren, it's Ace so it only stays in the blood 3 days, whereas I'm doing test enan so that'll take almost two weeks. Last time I ended both test/tren at the same time and felt pretty good. Never had any libido issues (was only doing 300mg/wk test and 350mg/wk tren).

if I get a paycheck or two in my bank account I'll probably go get some albuterol, but as of now that's not gonna be possible. Like I said at the beginning, as much as I'd love to be 10% by the end of the comp, real life steps in.. and I'll do my best, but this year is different than last.. plus I want to keep growth so I don't want to go too far in calorie deficit.. just hoping for a huge recomp. I'd like to put on another 10 pounds of muscle.. get me about 220 LBM and then get down to 240ish to make me 10%... maybe the tren will help me out there a little. ;)

Haha, thanks bro! Well, I train with a buddy, but my rest between sets is only 1 min, so it takes us about 90 mins for everything.. if I trained alone it'd probably only be an hour max.

I'm keeping everything 6-8 sets, and 12-15 reps. The blood flow is awesome.. My tris and chest were engorged. Need to trim the fat so it really shows through.. otherwise its just a giant 17" arm, lol. Kind of nice it adds a little bit of cardio into the mix with such high rep and short rests.. definitely feel my heart rate stay up the whole workout. I should go buy a heart monitor though to keep notice.

Steam and stretching 10 mins.

Focused on squeezing the back and the bis every rep.. felt great, and I still can feel my chest/tris sore from yesterday. Great pump. Training buddy commented on my chest looking bigger. I felt kind of gassed today.. frankly i've been feeling gassed every workout.. tired. I think I might try some cream of rice before working out with some honey and cinnamon or something. Honey, n2kts I've both been taking before working out and I still feel gassed out. This high volume is a lot harder than it looks. So much easier to do 3 sets and go to failure on the last.. Lol. Opinions, advice?
 
Wish my lifts were remotely as bad ass as these lol , Zed introduced me to the geronda drag it's looks awesome but kinda killed my tendinitis so I had to settle for good old boring curls lol ,

Stick with the volume Bader. Trust the process bro. I know you are on the edge of overtraining but your gear isn't in you good yet. Push through bro. I promise it gets easier. Doing 3 sets. Pfft. Anyone can do that bro. You want to be different. You don't want to be average. The average guy is pushing 3 sets and walking around the gym with his chest puffed out thinking he has done something. Someone who lifts is to damn tired to do that. Lol

Thanks everyone. Today I'm glad it's a rest day.. Wow.. my whole upper body is tender, but pumped. Feeling good. :) Woke up and looked in the mirror, and my back looked pretty nice. Leaning out a bit.

Urine is slightly turned orange, so you know I got the good stuff. :) Course, I already knew that, but its always a nice confirmation! :D Gotta remember to drink tons of water.. reminder reminder. Water water.
