R-ALA...something i noticed

OXANDRIN

New member
ever since i started taking r-ala i noticed its harder to get an erection. i'm not on anything and i haven't been on anything since last summer. i was not having any problems prior to taking the r-ala.

Interesting I have had the same problem but I thought it was from the cialis I took, after taking it alot now it seems hard or should I say difficult to get an erection sometimes without it! Dont kno what it is could also be any of the meds I am on it is always hard to tell!

odd. most people report that opposite..

oxandin.. perhaps low blood sugar? are you getting 30-50g of carbs per cap?

use of aromatase inhibitors?
letro seems to cause this in some people.. perhaps because it is so strong

Interesting. Too much ALA made me hypoglycemic. I can't believe people take up 1000 mgs. But this...I'd say consistant low blood sugar with affect erectile function, sure.

found this.... happyscrappy posted this:

ALA is good stuff. yay.
it does liver things - yay.
it does nutrient partitioning - yay.

but it also does cancellation of free redicals - which is good.
it is excellent if you are supplementing with l-arginine (or the oginine (sp?)) - those increase levels of Peroxynitrate in your system and that is bad - but ALA will negate that.

but high levels of l-arginine also produce higher levels of NO, which is a good thing in terms of many things - but most importantly hgh release and erections.

but ALA, among the many things it helps get rid of when you take it, gets rid of nitric oxide from your system... which is all fantastic if you didn't need it - but you can't get an erection without NO in your system.

so anyway, just was reading about this and thought I'd toss it up here.
