winny cycle

I am currently doing my first cycle of winstrol (worked up to 20mg ed w/ no sides and great results!). I was told by source to taper down at the end- is this necessary? I've done searches on this subject but have found no info regarding tapering down. I would assume that means its not necessary but I'd really like to get others opinions. Thanks!
